Do not buy this game under any circumstances: There are significant problems with the way it is handled my most machines ranging from issues with sounds, controls, visuals and/or all of the above.

The game has not once been patched for any of these issues.

I've been waiting for this game to come out since it was announced and I'm very much enjoying the quality of life improvements: This is exactly what a Remaster of the Suikoden games *should* look like and feel like, though it bears repeating it *is not a Suikoden Game*

I hope that in the future there will be more entries!

I'm about 80 hours in and so far I suppose it isn't the worst Gacha game I've played.

The Important Stuff: Certain design decisions such as the game separating paid premium currency from free premium currency is one of the most annoying things, and duplicates of characters and weapons - instead of giving you a copy of the weapon or "Puzzle Pieces" to rank it up, you're instead given an unsatisfying amount of generic pieces that can be traded for the aforementioned puzzle pieces at a steep discount. This bugs the *hell* out of me because ranking up weapons and characters is incredibly important, though it's worth pointing out you aren't encouraged to rank up *everything and everyone* but rather a handful of your best weapons and 1-2 characters.

The Good: The game itself gives you plenty to do where you don't - at least at this point for me up to Level 70 - need to wait for energy refresh and plenty to do that doesn't require energy. As long as you're regularly leveling up (not ranking up) your weapons, chips, armor and cards you'll be kept pretty busy and usually able to do something meaningful every day.

The Bad: In case you do wish to buy premium currency then the price is *_steep_* and it's denoted in New Taiwanese dollars. Steam handles the translation from USD to NT, but the prices are *insane*. Unfortunately some limited time Gachas are *only* usable for purchased currency and it'll drain you drive if you're obsessive. On the other hand if you take the slow and steady approach it shouldn't bother you.

Otherwise the game plays fairly well. One minor annoyance is the auto aim is incredibly aggressive and the manual override isn't very accurate or fast. Some way to disable it for your character to just shoot horizontally would have been nice.

The only thing that had me sticking around for 56 hours was the hope that something more interesting than Bounty Hunting would show up and let me tell you: It. Has. Not.

A really rather good if short Metroidvania, but in that sense it avoids the sort of tedious grinding and map hunting you often find in Metroidvanias

*Received as Part of a Humble Bundle*

It's been...well, only about a year since I've played Road Rash thanks to the wonders of emulation and boredom, but this game definitely itches that same scratch. While there aren't any funny little animations for wins/losses/arrests and the game runs more like a rogue-like rather than the race-brawler that Road Rash was, it certainly is faithful to those older games.

Some reviews I'd seen complained about Floaty Bikes, Cheating Computer, Etc, but I'm pretty damn sure this computer is less prone to cheating than the one from Road Rash, where it would preternaturally avoid cars you don't even see because you're going uphill. Here even the AI will run into cars, each other, etc.

I wouldn't suggest playing in long bursts, as the gameplay loop is very simple and satisfying in long bites, but it's also built on that rogue-like component I mentioned before where you're buying upgrades each time you die to make you life easier on subsequent playthroughs.

While the gameplay loop gets a little bit stale at around the halfway point the combat is consistently very rewarding and visceral and there's almost always something to help break up the monotony

The amount of subquests, side activities and minigames will always let you take a fun breather between smashing wannabe gangsters with bikes, the game looks pretty damn beautiful though a little bit canned as far as the graphics go but in a weird way it feeds into the sort of Yakuza B-Movie feeling the whole series has been maintaining since Yakuza 1

Liking it so far, Have no idea how well it would control on a touch screen and I'm currently using a 360 controller which the game is blessedly configured to recognize after a few false starts until I found the Controller toggle.

It's certainly interesting playing this game after having played all the other Deus Ex games, the little references, the big stodgy ones, (Gunther was a live back then? And he still wanted a Skul Gun?)

I'll update if possible going on.

**Update After Wrapping the game**

It's a shame that it had to be wrapped in such a way as it seems that Square Enix is not currently pursuing the next part of Ben's Story but I like that it adds more layers to the world that Human Revolution and Mankind Divided take place in.

If I had to describe it I'd say it's a competent entry in the Deus Ex story line, though hampered by the design decisions needed to make it mobile friendly.

They should definitely consider pricing it down though, it is about 4 hours of content. if 6.99 was good enough for mobile it should be good enough for Steam.

It's October! Time to play this game through on Steam this time!

Complaining about the stamina system is odd, what's the point of a horror/suspense game where you can just run all the time? This is a puzzle game at it's heart, not an action platformer
