Its a good classic game. The story is relatively simple with a few nice twists and turns but u;timately one of those power of friendship games and a few leaps of logic.

Edit: Experienced a number of crashes later in the game that was annoying.

The game is basically an inferior version of Town of Salem 1. (which has superior mafia mode)
The real problem is that monetization is getting out of hand with this game.
Its being more heavily monetized than Town of Salem 1 and they are using the excuse that they will shut down if they wont make enough.
So how bad is monetization? Started out okay with cosmetics and scrolls that boosted yet slight chance of getting a role you want in a game. Then they introduced Tome of Fate that can boost your chance at roles by a total of 100% but to get there, you gotta level it up by using scrolls that provide a low amount of exp or buy exp boosts or level skips for ur tome that progressively gets more expensive (with 50 dollar skips at later lvls)
Then they added multiple levels of cauldron that gives u a new mythic scroll with a bigger boost to getting a role u want by 30% that can only be gotten from cauldron AND a upgrade for ur tome that doubles the role amplification for a whopping total with everything combined at 230%. The higher the cauldron lvl, the more often you get stuff out of it.
And now we got a WEEKLY battlepass with free tier and paid tier. paid being 5 dollars.

I don't know about any of you but this monetization is terrible. Especially considering that Town of Salem 1 had none of this and is still alive with an active and healthy playerbase. If this game is struggling like they say, they should just shut it down and keep supporting the first game. With these role amplication items, it makes it harder for non-paying players to get roles they actually want and are more often pushed into the worst roles like Admirer which has been reworked a few times and its still bad.

The most often played mode is All Any which is unbalanced cause you will end up with several killing factions often having an advantage over a tiny group of town or a town majority with just 1 evil. The more blanced modes has a slow que. Town of Salem 1 is better in this regard cause you can constantly get into the more balanced modes.

The reason I make this review today is because I cross the line with this battlepass. The terrible monetization needs to stop.

The game is lackluster in all aspects. This is a definitive downgrade for the mass effect series and hope this design does not continue in any future game or mass effect game.

Like Hearthstone but anime style. The cards look beautiful instead of the ugly aesthetic hearthstone has. The board that you play the cards on in this game leaves alot to be desired though and the Deck Leaders are awesome. Game showers u with free booster packs too and as far as I know this game won't ban you for siding with hong kong.
