With this being my first survival-horror game, I'm thoroughly impressed. It's the first game to make me stay on the edge of my seat the entire time.

As far as graphics go, this game has some of the best textures and details I've ever seen - especially for a game from 2014. Being a casual fan of the Alien series, I was surprised at how well the movie's designs translated into the game. I often forgot I wasn't watching a movie.

The only thing that impressed me more than the graphics was the sound design. Whether I was using speakers or headphones, the sound of this game was phenomenal. I love sci-fi sounds, ranging from Star Trek to Mass Effect. This game easily had some of the best effects I've ever heard. The survival-horror aspect was also enhanced by the sounds. Hearing the alien in the vents above me sent shivers down my spine almost every single time. (I should add, this game is best enjoyed with headphones.)

The voice acting was also pretty decent. Most games make me cringe with the acting, so I often mute that in the options menu. However, I was able to somewhat enjoy the acting this time. Amanda Ripley's voice actress was very easy to listen to, as well as many people on the station. None of the lines were corny or cheesy, either.

With the story, I won't spoil anything. I will say that it's very good and enhanced the game very much,

If you're a fan of sci-fi horror, survival horror, or the Alien series in general, I HIGHLY recommend this game.

The fact this game has lived for over 13 years should be enough to tell you how good of a game it is. Sure, it has its flaws, but I'd be lying if I didn't say this game had a positive impact on my life. Between the quirky characters and creative community, I think TF2 might be one of, if not the best games I've ever played.
