Update: Completed it just now with 100% Achievements. Still a banger. Lets see what the Q4 DLC/Update has to offer.

A 40$ banger? No strings attached? in this economy? unbelievable.

I didnt play elden ring, kinda hated it actually (without any real reason tbh) but this surprised me. i got hooked right off the bat. incredible. One bad release after another and then From Soft steps up and drops this absolute banger. i love it.

I wave been waiting for this FOR YEARS but damn this is unplayable. The performance is atrocious. I just recently upgraded to a 9070 XT and have been playing games like The Finals on Maxed settings (including Raytracing) on 110-120 fps average and THIS GAME on lowest settings is barely able to get 60-70. it hurts to look at.

This is unacceptable. This makes me sad. After the embarrassing end of WA to now release this in its current state? almost insulting. im sure the gameplay itself would be fine but im not able to get to that really with this performance.

I really wanted to check it out with a friend since we played WA back then, tried different games with similar styles, even tried a WA private server solution but nothing really worked out for us. This could have been great but its a huge disappointment.

This is it. I've wished for a game like this for a long time. Going incredibly fast, taking a very nice flowing route while blasting absolute bangers in the background. What more do you need? Excitred to see what the workshop brings to the table. THERE IS A MULTIPLAYER MOD ALREADY!!

Devs are also heavily at work fixing all the little bugs that popped up after release a few days ago.

They didnt fix the Performance since the last beta test. On lowest settings with native resolution (no upscaling of any kind) i cant get past 40 fps ON THE PRACTICE RANGE which is unacceptable for a hero shooter. this doesnt have as impressive graphics to justify such bull*hit performance.

RX 5700 XT
64GB 3600MHz Ram

While my setup is not the latest at all it sure as hell is faster than the average pc so i expect the majority to have a similar experience.

btw why dafuq is Lumen Gi preselected? The worst possible options for performance smh... but keep in mind i already set everything to low manually. Doesnt help at all.

I fully expected this to be a "fire and forget" release but its great to see there is work being done on the game. Im curious about those other improvements that they are working on. i might give it another shot after a few updates and a desperately needed price drop.

Just about two hours ago, Tetris Forever launched, and it’s a huge letdown. The games in this so-called collection are barely worth playing except for the sake of having played them and many of them lack historical significance, even though it’s supposedly an attempt at an archive or preservation effort (seems to me like licensing issues got in the way). And on top of that, none of them have online features.

There's no progression system, and while the new game, Time Warp, brings an interesting idea, it lacks visual polish and feels clunky to play—more like a proof of concept than a finished game. PC-specific options are practically nonexistent (not even a universal control settings menu!), and the €33.99 price tag is ridiculously high. Honestly, releasing this after the masterpiece that was Tetris Effect should be illegal.

Update:
The greed took over. 30$ Ultimate Battle Pass with exclusive items? Legacy BPs to buy but they are incomplete (missing "bonus pages")? There isnt even any way to get the "ultimate" items any other way. Imagine you get the normal BP like you always do and afterwards you go "huh.. those ultimate items are quite nice. can i get those?". You CAN get those... by buying the Ultimate Pass for the full 30$. You have to buy the Pass twice, you buy an xp boost + 20 level boost you dont need.

I WANT to support this game but 30$ every quater year? are you out of your minds? make it 15$, take out the xp and level boost (i want to play the game guys i dont need to boost anything) and we're good.

Original Review:
It's free, high quality and very fun. Didn't encounter a cheater for the last 2 seasons and the devs are very active and transparent about what they do.

No Sewers or Betray, Censored Wolfenstein Levels and the Settings in Terms of Hud and Graphics feel very limited.

I expected better of Nightdive. I loved all of their releases but this one? This should have been a BANGER.. sadly its just "fine". I will stick to GZDoom.


btw some things you can remedy by either replacing the wad files with the originals or place them in your "\Saved Games\Nightdive Studios\DOOM" folder and loading them in via the d_pwads command before starting a game.

Example: placing the Doom2.wad file as Doom2OG.Wad (different name because it wont take wads with duplicate names) and loading it in with the command "d_pwads doom2og.wad" brings back the censored health pickups and wolfenstein walls.

Update 5: I didn't want to make more updates but DAMN they've seriously done it this time. Season 2 Update 2.0 is a complete clusterf*ck. People need to lose their jobs over this. its insane. even a blind person could have seen this negative feedback coming. The devs REALLY DONT KNOW what they are doing. Cant explain this any other way.

Update 4: Patch 1.08 brought us Heihachi Mishima back together with a small story expansion and some quality of life fixes like ranked mode tweaks and online practice. while im very grateful for those qol updates the rest of this patch is a disgrace. Who was writing this story crap? Not even NRS could come up with such bad storytelling. Retcons everywhere and not even for the sake of cool stuff. On top of this we are getting milked by having to pay 5€ for the new stage NO MATTER WHAT EDITION YOU HAVE. I bought the exclusive collectors edition back then to support the devs and i feel more than scammed. Harada should be ashamed.

Update 3: After the 1.07 Patch that pretty much did nothing for them game except add new ♥♥♥♥ to buy in the shop my performance is now so bad i cant play anymore. no matter the settings the framerate will die in any match on about half of the stages (all of them whenever a rageart is involved) and reset my settings to the lowest possible without any change in performance. It even started to crash with FATAL ERROR again just like it did at release. 3rd Crash in a row was enough for me. Im gonna stick to Street Fighter 6

Update 2: After the 1.05 Patch my game performance became unplayable. By the looks of it its constantly compiling shaders and after a match it automatically sets my graphics to the lowest possible options and its still just as bad as before. Thank you Scamco.

Update 1: They added Battlepasses. it got even worse... thank you scamco, i will never again buy a game from you.

Adding Microtransactions after the Launch is disgusting. i feel betrayed

I played this on my Valve Index on 100% Resolution Scaling and the refresh rate set to 90hz.
My PC Setup:
R9 3900x

64GB 3600MHz RAM

The Performance is pretty bad and playing it made me quiete nauseaus even tho i can play things like boneworks with full smooth locomotion settings just fine. Setting everything to low except for the Texture settings made it far better but i expected more from this since its based on Doom 2016 which runs incredibly well no matter your Hardware.

The Gameplay is OK especially considering that this is one of the older VR titles. Smooth locomotion got patched in later but its default settings are not really good (deadzone is disgusting) and controlling this game with the index controllers is painful with stock settings. It doesnt even support turning with the motion controllers... Using the recommended configs you can find on the PCGamingWiki and a community controller profile + console commands made it much better tho. i did tweak it a bit and in the end it was enjoyable with smooth locomotion, smooth turning and everything you would expect from such a game.

Its very short tho, all achievements are easily obtained in one playthrough without even trying and even the "puzzles" you encounter only appear once or twice. i think this could have been much much better with more time and care put into it.

Bruh this games runs like crap... lowest settings, uninstalled High Definition Textures, mixed and matched everything i can but averages about 70-80 FPS which is unacceptable today. i will stick to MCC Multiplayer where i get avg fps of 170+
