+ Fun arcade modes
+ Amazing art style
+ Quick account progression, all gameplay affecting stuff (cards and mercenaries) is easily earned
+ a lot of incentives (free coemsrtic rewards) for straight up logging in and playing
+ Good movment
+ Good netcode
+ ADHD style "metagameplay" (cards and skills) with slower and more tactical execution in gameplay (movment, gunplay)

- Obfuscated UI with multiple ways to get to the same menu.
- There are predatory cosmetics. There's a lot of free and cheap ones, that you can easily grind. But if you really want that one "Uber rare" item, game obfuscates it's real price.

Game has really narrow field of view and unfortunately for now there's no fov slider (neither ultrawide support). For me - camera is too zoomed in for it to be playable on m&k.

Everything below became true. There's still no endgame, the only balance strategy is nerfing. The beatings will continue until morale improves. Can't recommend the game in the current unfun state, when developers are doubling down on bad decisions.

I won't lie, game is great. But the way it's developed is putting up some red flags about it's future. If it will stay this way, it will be still a good game but one that never reached its true potential. I wouldn't tolerate it in full price game, but here it's on the edge of acceptable.

So let's talk about it:
1) Game grows sideways without meaningful changes to the endgame
2) That is non-existent and You're punished for playing (You can easily reach resource caps and get nothing from next missions, while there's no resource sink to spend those in)
3) Devs are not developing game on the technical side of things (dlss, optimization, server problems), telling you that everything they care about is content
4) That is sold in warbonds. I'm fine with them, as You can grind Your way into them, but FOMO is still there and real. How? By notoriously overtuning new weapons. You won't FOMO getting the "weapon" as in-game model with some gameplay mechanic, but You will miss out on how cool and empowering this weapon was in the first 2 weeks after its release. Then it will be tuned down so the game becomes extremely harder, so the overtuned weapons from the next warbond will be Your savior.
5) Rinse and repeat. And I mean that not only in the warbond mechanic but the whole gameplay loop. And this can be fun when made and developed right, check out Deep Rock Galactic. Helldivers have full right to give you the same endless fun as DRG, but on every turn they take - they pick their vision over the voice of players.

So are those real problems? Yes. Are they slowly sucking fun out of the game with balance patches that are full of nerfs? Yes. But does it make Helldivers 2 a bad game? I leave it to You. For me it was and is fun, and I know that it was even better in the beginning, when players had more power in the battle. I just hope that one day we will see a patch that will bring this power back. One patch can change everything, as the base game is just f-ing fun!

REVIEWS ARE SKEWED BY BUNCH OF CRYBABIES THAT HAD TO WAIT 10 MINUTES IN QUEUE ON GAME RELEASE, WHERE RESTART OF THE GAME FIXED THE ISSUE IN MOST CASES. ADDITIONALY - DEVS ENGAGED NEW SERVERS AFTER 2 HOURS.
Game is amazing, gameplay is neat and punchy and developers show love for the game and community. It already had added a lot of content in pre-release phase and from what I'm seeing - devs are on their way to add more and more content into the game. It has dlss and even reflex, so it says something about the technical state of the game (it's really great and well optimized). Really nice game that can suck You in more than You would ever expect. In novelty rating it's something fresh like Fall Guys, but in execution and technical department - it's closer to the polish of titles like Rocket League.

Fully recommend. Review written after ~12h of gameplay across beta, pre-release and release phase.

Jedyna innowacyjna karcianka jaka kiedykolwiek powstała. Łączy mechanikę walki znaną z takich gier jak Heroes of Might and Magic (Popularni przecież u nas "Herosi 3") czy king's bounty z zaawansowaną karcianką. Bo przecież, chyba o to tutaj chodzi.

"Quakestyle" fps mixed with mmo. You will Love it or hate it. True F2P (only cosmetic shop) and the premium currency that you can obtain by playing the game. Fast peaced shooter in open world (that's getting bigger from patch to patch) with levels, perks, equipments and nice graphic. You just have to try and play it for more than 15h. When you'll start to get some fun from it - play more, becuase it will get better with every lvl, zone and frame. If you won't - it's not game for you.
