Big fan of Ace Combat 7 here.

Differences as far as I can see.
10x more enemies. The sky is full of both civilians and enemies in some campaign missions too. So better confirm your HUD before firing.
Enemies act the same. Dogfight when close. Scramble when far. 2 standard missiles kills. Basic stuff.
Controls are almost identical. Holding the fire button you get cool cinematic cameras. That and holding on the lock-on button follows enemies like Ace Combat.
One thing I noticed is I shoot a lot better in this game. Shooting guns actually matter more. In Ace Combat 7 it's annoying to do.

So far my only issue in campaign is no checkpoints. If you fail the boss fight at the end, womp womp. Start over.
Long story short. If you liked Ace Combat 7. This game is fun.

Playing this with friends or a group make it a lot of fun.
Playing solo with an audiobook in the back or even music is just as great. Read the entirety of Ender's Game while playing this.

It's not hard gameplay (unless you physically can't click rapidly too quickly)

My only complaint is this could definitely use Steam Deck support.

Also add lizards please.

Glad to see it's journey to full release was eventful. From chaotic YouTubers testing the game's limits with spaghetti to absolute chaos in development bugs. Absolutely recommended as one of the best factory development games of all time.

I have a like and hatred to this game... It's fun for a short while. BUT... It's not worth A$90. This isn't even worth A$50...

It's very broken in vanilla and even lacks the magic of even holding 2 handed guns like rifles. You can't reload guns and feel badass doing it. And worst of all, auto save doesn't exist! You better learn to quicksave, or your save is Kapoot. It's only fun with mods that actually improve the game performance wise for VR and options. As an independent purchase... Wait for sale. And for those wondering, if you want the Fallout 4 DLC's. You need to download the desktop version of Fallout 4 with the DLC's enabled of course, then move those DLC files to the VR data folder.

Learned that the hard way.

The game is immensely fun when modded... Borderline terrifying sometimes. But... as much as I love the game, I'm leaving a bad review, because they've had years to update and make the game the way the modders have done it... It's obvious they made a bad port, then slapped a big price tag on it. If you do want to try the game... just know mods are required.

They designated the sprint button as the "Zoomies button". The trope of "If I fits, I sits" in boxes. Can emote and do the BIG double stretch and nap?!
And had a sale on their release?!

This game deserves every positive review.

This is one of those games that stick with you for decades. The story is incredible and replayable to try something new.

Then there is online. The cesspool of ♥♥♥♥-covered gold-paying scamming, modder-full of cancer. Online should've been treated better. It deserved better.

Get "Vivid Fallout - All in One" On the Nexus mod website instead of this. It's 1/100th of the size, looks & performs better.

This thing adds 58 Gigabytes to the game and there are mods that are only less than 5 that make it look better and perform more efficiently than this pack. It ruins already installed texture mods too. Don't not get it. It's not worth it.

It's sad a million dollar company can't optimize a game better than the community made modders can.

The best made game ever made for an understanding of getting into Dungeon's and Dragons. Millions of ways to play through the game. Immense characters and mod support.

Please for the love of Mystra; add Kobolds, Goblins, Goliath's and Orcs as playable races!

I was on the ropes to play this game. It being on sale I decided to give it a go.
This game is amazing. If you like Bethesda games, this game feels like Bioshock had a baby with Wolfenstien.

Scenery is godlike. Path is pretty linear but I don't mind. The characters and collectibles really tie the knot.
It really feels like what a Bethesda game could've been. No loading screens on opening doors.

One of the best games of all time if you love lore rich world stories of kingdoms at war, Monsters and Witchers. A dark medieval world where death is better than what some people go through. Literally met a woman that was paralyzed and felt rats eat her alive. That sh-t will haunt me forever thanks to this game.

The story captivates you and immerses you in not just main story but the side quests too. Dialog choices to influence Geralt's life as a charming silver-fox or a greedy motherf-cker. You can have replay-ability in the places you visit and choices you make. New game+ Really adds to that.

It's one of the few games I would genuinely recommend to buy full price.
