The disastrous launch era of this game is over. It has been patched up and working pretty well, although there are still some funny bug which can be immersion breaking. Gameplay is really fun. The combat is a bit off for those who are used to previous AC games, but you should be familiarize with it soon enough. The downside is the messy map which could blow your mind when you open it the first time, even the legend and filter couldn't help much and the worst thing is: you can't choose to filter out what you want and don't want to see, in short, a custom filter system.
The game packs a strong Paris spirit in it, not only the city is beautiful, but if you are immersed enough, you should take a slow pace to enjoy the environment. Don't listen to people complaining that the game is repetitive and boring. It's meant to be a walk in the street (literally), go explore around the city slowly, you got the random social events to compensate for the slow pace. You shouldn't just run around, dash through the crowd, killing guards, doing every mission you see on the map in a go, because that's exactly what would kill your mood really quickly.
The graphics is beautiful and is still on par with many recently released game. Despite the odd short drawing distance which makes the background scenery looks like oil painting (not in good way) for the sake of optimization.
The story is okay. Not really good and way too short compared to other AC games, if only it could be longer and focused more on character development, it would make one hell of a masterpiece. The voice acting is good, I don't mind about the lack of French accent of the characters (even I don't really know what French accent sound like irl), it doesn't break the immersion or anything, at least for me.
The co-op can be done solo, but it's always more fun when you go with someone, be it strangers or friends. You can still easily find a person to do 2 players missions should you be patient (often less than 5 mins searching). It may be difficult to find 3 other people for 4 players mission, so bring friends if you have (which you probably can't) or just do it alone and consider it a challenge if your rank doesn't match with the difficulty.
Other than that, there are some side missions which involve typical assassin job, killing and stealing, luckily there's no tailing mission). But there are also some murder investigating, or solving riddles mission which can be fun or frustrating, respectively if you like reading.
TL;DR, Assassin's Creed Unity is actually very good. If only people could just see through the buggy launch for it, they will find it quite enjoyable.

In term of gameplay, it's a not a bad game. I had a blast with the combat because of the eyecandy brutal animation. But the story is kinda bland compared to the rest in the series. UI can be rough to get use to. The optional objectives for full sync, if you are a completionist, force you to play the game the way "it" wanted you to play and is one hell of a tedious work to get. Once you made a mistake, prepare to restart the entire mission to play correctly, reload checkpoint won't save it, btw. It really killed the mood and ruined the freedom of gameplay.

Btw, if you open up Database entry upon seeing a pop-up, prepare to press Esc several times through the layers of menu before you can return to gameplay. Seriously, the UI navigation of the database is the worst thing (Even the previous ACR, ACB, AC2 only requires you to press Esc once to return to game).

Despite being a lazy direct port from Console and the 720p limitation, I still enjoy playing this game. Since I'm a completely newb to this franchise, I don't care about these problems.

Simple, fun, easy to adapt. I can spend hours deep into it. This game deserve more attention. The only problem is the insufficient of Asia server.

This game is okay for me! However, no servers in SEA region, that pissed me off because I thought I was a noob. turn out I was just lag!

Else: No ping display, radar is too small, map is too large with only a few players.
