Played using the latest patch Dec. 2024. I had an amazing experience with this game. I've beaten games like Blasphemous 1&2, Ender Lilies, GRIME, and I rank it right up there with them.

Combat was pretty enjoyable, has a variety of different playstyles and all the different weapons feel fun for different reasons. It's possible to get pretty powerful if you care about grinding, but there is a ton of optional and secret things that really boost your characters power if you explore thoroughly.

Unfortunately there isn't a New Game+ right now, or other modes. I just beat the game with the True Ending and I already want to experience more.

I'd call this a must play for people who enjoyed Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Darksiders, God of War (PS2/PS3) , Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and other over the top combo action games.
The fixed camera during exploration is really not a big deal if you've played a game with it before, and combat gives you full 3D camera control. The main characters are great, but the writing and voice acting of the villains was way lower quality.

I can't wait to see where they go with the sequel.

A tribute to survival horror games. This game pays homeage to Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, Silent Hill, and many other games. The main story is short and sweet, and then multiple extra modes are unlocked. You can also unlock new weapons by completing difficult achievements.

Play the demo, and give it a buy if you liked it. It's worth $5+ easily.

It's the new Left 4 Dead. A fantastic co-op experience with levels and enemy spawns that are different every time. A good selection of missions types. One mission might simply ask you to collect X amount of a certain mineral from a cave. The next mission could be to hand-craft an industrial pipeline, with grind rails on top to skate on. And all the mission types could be happening anywhere from ice caves to volcanic zones and even wooden tree-trunk like biomes.

One of the biggest bonuses to the game is that every class is fun to play, even if you'd think it's not your thing at first. Each class has a different type of weapons, as well as different equipment for traversal. You might have a grappling hook, elevator launcher, platform launcher, or best of all, the Drills!

The most unique thing about DRG is that the entire cave is 100% destructable. You can pickaxe straight from one chamber to the next, or follow the caves. The driller is able to cave huge hallways straight through the map, which introduces all kinds of strategies to maneuver your crew of 4 people.

I constantly am able to find games with other players, and the devs continue to live-stream and release content updates with new weapons, mission types, and cave biomes.

Rock and Stone!

This was a serious "Wow!" game for me. Coming to this after playing games like Borderlands 3, Gunfire Reborn, Doom, Etc. this game was an immediately fun experience. The developers just made so many right decisions that make the game seriously fun.

Infinite ammo means little to no resource management in-game, you can use your favorite guns as much as you want. While is some looter-shooters you'd have to be careful stacking fire-rate buffs, in this game you can seriously unload a hail of bullets (or explosives, or lasers, or even arrows and knives) and never have to worry about running out. Also, every weapon reloads VERY fast compared to most games. AND if all that didn't sound fun enough, you start the game with the ability to have your unequipped weapons reload themselves while you aren't using them. Most games would make you grind a long time before you could have such a great ability, but this game immediately rewards you for constantly swapping guns.

Movement really does feel good, other reviews weren't kidding. Sliding, double jumping, and ledgegrabbing all feel buttery smooth and never interrupt your aim. That means you're almost always able to fire your weapon, which combined with my points about infinite ammo means you never have to stop pumping out the DPS at your enemies. Grind rails are sprinkled through every other area, and usually spawn a loot-bot so that if you do hop on a rail mid-combat you get a nice little xp drop.

I've only tried one of the four classes so far, and you'd think a barrier might be a boring ability but it can be very tactical and fun, especially when you get the upgrade that boosts damage when you shoot through your barrier. That means even defensive skills can be used to dish out more damage.

The two bosses i've fought so far are both very fun. In Gunfire Reborn a lot of the bosses can be very cheap feeling because you just don't have nearly as much mobility to dodge their attacks. In Roboquest, if you put any effort into your movement you can dodge projectiles, ramming attacks, explosions, whatever! Once you get to the later levels it becomes quite hard to whizz by the volley of projectiles, but by that point your build needs to have enough Damage Per Second to clean house of weak fodder enemies that felt tankier at the beginning.

This is such a super satisfying FPS experience, and it sounds like it's only getting bigger and better from here. I can't wait to see where this game goes!

This game gets my GOTY 2020. Technically exceptional, ludicrously good soundtrack, challenging gameplay that makes you use every tool at your disposal or die, and some insanely sick demons to cut down. FPS doesn't get much better than this.

Compared to the first 3 DLC this one is just sad.
-No new enemy types
-No new environment assets (They didn't make anything new, they just stitched together blocks and objects from the main game to make new areas.)
-No new game mechanics like the plants in DLC 3
-Shortest length out of all the DLC's
-Some of the new legendary weapons are a bit underwhelming
-The new bosses are not very interactive or fun, besides not bringing anything new to the table

I could go on but I have wasted enough time on DLC 4 already... Do not buy this DLC on its own, get the full season pass and enjoy the other 3 DLC that are actually decent, this one is a low budget after-thought.
