You ever look at your background and think 'man, this is lame.'

With Wallpaper Engine, you can make it less lame. Make it space, anime, lovecraftian horror, or whatever suits you. There's even the option to have a wallpaper with animation and sound.

So for people interested in this game, lemme offer you some insight: It's a game for a certain kind of people.

It's a strategy game with quite the learning curve. This learning curve isn't exactly helped by the tutorial, and takes time to get used to. Nevertheless, if you can learn step by step- like I did- or just look for help by others, you'll find that you still have no idea of what you're doing. But with time, you learn how to build up a kingdom and how to keep it intact through any means necessary. Once you know what to do, you'll find that the game has some fun to be had.
There's just one other problem that should be addressed about the game: DLC. There are multiple parts of the game essentially locked from you if you don't have the DLC, which is a shame. Unless you're fine with just being a Christian in the game, barred from secret societies, playing other religions, playing games that start as far as 769, etc., you pretty much need that other stuff. But, most of them are quite pricey. So you have to wait for a sale in order to purchase them.

So the learning curve and DLC are the two things you should watch for.

All in all, I think the game is enjoyable, but meant for a certain type of people.

So, this is a game that kinda dances between managing a team of heroes and their qualms, and hoping that everything you worked up for doesn't go down in a burning flame if a giant swings a damn tree at your already stressed hero and scores a crit.

I actually enjoy the clutch.

To put my opinion short: amazingly fun.

This game can be both scary and utterly hilarious at times. You'll get chances to play as the following from time to time:

D-bois
Nerd Scientists
Dead Facility Guards
SCP dog-thing
SCP peanut statue
SCP God Larry
SCP PhD guy
SCP anti-social guy
Chaos Bois
Nine Tailed Gun-bois

There are some things to talk about, such as some bugs which can appear server to server, Facility guards basically being dead meat as soon as they spawn, and the nuclear option.

But personally, I think the fun you can have with this game can override most of that. For instance, teaming up with the SCPs as D-boi, using the intercom system, tricking SCPs into going into 914's chamber, random hilarious events, surviving decontamination, and juking SCP 094- only for him to turn back around and tear you piece by piece. Overall, I say this game is all right

I really enjoy this game, and I think it has a lot of potential. I love ship type games, especially when you can not only be the captain, but be a crew member and interact with the ship. The game has some flaws/problems/thoughts, which includes but is not limited to-

Grappling- I feel like 100 seconds of wait time is too much. Especially if you run a tiny ship of a max of 7, which often can be reduced to 3 or 4. Now I don't think this is that big of a problem on bigger ships with bigger crew, or even bigger servers with larger amounts of people. So how about changing the wait time based on the amount of crew on the ship?

Reward System- There isn't really a in-game reward system to award players for their work in the game. All you can really do is level up and earn cosmetics, but eventually that doesn't mean too much. Perhaps change it up, like giving titles based on what players do in-game. Or maybe you can unlock cosmetics for your ship flag or sails. Like maybe a cool design on the sail, or a special decal on the flag. Maybe that would be hard/impossible to impliment, but it's an idea that follows the thought of making a reward system.

Tutorial- I don't think this is that huge of a problem, since you learn everything as you progress, but hey, what if someone wants to know as much as possible before blundering in? Maybe a run through of how each weapon works, for it's situational uses, and what cannon shots are used for. Again, you learn everything quick, but it's a thought to consider.

Bugs- Of course, bugs will be fixed, but they do exist nonetheless.

Only three modes (at the moment)- Theres only three modes, which is Capture the flag, Deathmatch, and Invasion. Don't get me wrong, they all offer good times, but I would like more options in the future.

But let's move on from that, and instead go on to what is fun about this game, the question I'm sure everyone and their mothers is asking.

Battle- I like the fights to be had in the seas and on land. On sea, your objective is to sink the enemy ship, or be sunk yourself, which gives you the feeling of being in the heat of battle. Even better, you can board the enemy ship to fight them up close. You can fight then with your cutlasses, blunderbusses, pistols, and daggers in a crazed fight to the death. You have swivel guns and grape shot at your disposal to help eliminate the enemy, too. On land, you fight for the booty (ctf), or to take over the enemy fort by pushing in dangerous territory. On top of it, battle is quick, as you WILL die fast, but at the same time, you will manage to cap a few of the enemy before you rest in the locker.

Ship- For captains, you can name your ship, customize it's base colors, and chose which it shall be, ranging from the schooner, bombketch, junk, and more (small ships). Or to the Galleon and Cruzier (large). In order to man them, you'll need crew, which will require teamwork and coordination to sail, especially the larger ships. The more you are able to communicate successfully with a crew, the more likely you are to succeed in battle, or to at least get the guns loaded.

Leveling- It's rather easy- just play the game. Almost all actions will earn you points, ranging from loading the cannons, pumping the sinking ship, repairing holes, or blowing enemies away with your gun. Doing anything helpful will earn you points, which you will find includes a lot of things.

My final verdict? I'd buy it, though if you'd like, purchase it on sale. The game has updates to come, so it isn't abandoned. So if you like games that pitch you fighting eachother in the middle of a sea, then I think this is for you.

Gmod, a game that is fun! Simple as that, but how 'bout I go deeper into detail and explain why I think this game is fun, and why you should pour some of that green stuff you keep hidden in that pocket of yours. Yes, we all know it's there son, no need to be ashamed. Anyways, where was I? Oh yeah, Gmod.

So Gmod is, simply put, a sandbox game that uses Source physics and items to allow you to pretty much do what your littl' heart desires. Want to fuse a chicken with a bucket together? You got it! Want to make a spaceship to Jupiter (mind you, that will take time to make a working one in-game) You can do it! Want to play as Gandalf while you repeatedly beat up a bear that is tied to a zombie, which is tied to a thruster? Do I even need to say it? Of course!

If you get tired with the sandbox feature, you can always hop into the gamemodes. Look through deathruns, murder maps, TTT maps, prop hunt, and so much more. Trust me when I say this is fun. But of course, it is time to acknowledge downsides, otherwise this wouldn't be a interview, it would be a shrine.

So, what's up?

First off, physics. A physics sandbox isn't a bad idea, in fact it is quite fun. The only downside is that it is simulated physics, and technology, as cool as it is, will have difficulty being able to copy n' paste all known logic into this funnel of game funnel cake (or cupcake if you prefer).

What else, what else... Ah, friends. Let's say you want to play with friends on this game, and you make a sandbox world, you don't even skim through the options of the game, you're too excited! But alas, that is where you have made a fatal misake: you didn't set it to how many players can join! I didn't look too far into this, but once you make a world, the settings you put with it stay, so no going back. Off to make another world.

Maybe there is an option for that, but I didn't see it either because I have horrible eyesight or I'm too lazy to look into settings, but dangit! My time is precious!

Oh, and then theres errors. That can be irritating because maybe you get an object from the workshop, and you want to use it. Well, tough luck, because if it isn't downloaded good enough, it won't be there, and an insulting ERROR sign will be in it's place. In addition, I've joined some servers where textures of objects aren't available and are instead purple and black checkers. Very annoying, but this can be avoided: download all textures, refresh if needed, and reinstall it if really needed. Or keep it if you dig missing textures, your call, bud.

So now that I'm concluding this, let's walk back to the actual question you came here with. Don't worry Billy/Sasha, you'll get your question answered; is this game worth my moola?

Yeah, it is! Though I do want to say something: Not all games are for EVERYONE, and maybe you'll find that you don't like it, so how about I ask you a question in turn to hopefully answer the new question if it is for you. Do you like half-life 2? Do you like sandbox games? Do you like being able to goof around with your friends in a sandbox server before murdering each other in a virtual game for fun?

If you answered yes to at least 2 of those, then most likely it is for you. So pop out dat wallet and prepare to pour moola into finding a new, wackey game to play.

Of course, one of the only games I don't recommend is a free one... Anyways, lets jump in.
From what I've seen, it isn't horrible, but it isn't neccessarily great either. It reminds me of a more open world game that tries to combine stuff like Unturned and PlayerUnkown, but comes out as a somewhat bad game. So, what do I like?

Diversity, you got different guns to grab when you're runnin' for stuff, different types of melee weapons, snipers, assault rifles, etc.

Cars! A decent attempt at adding cars to a open world, after all it isn't exactly easy to cross one side of the map to the other without aided transportation.

What I don't like-

Teammates can kill you (or at least, my own was able to kill me :/) Perhaps we weren't fully situated into a party, but still, that can be annoying if, say you were running up to your friend after grabbing some gear, and they were suprised to see you and accidentally blew your brains out with their loaded shotgun. Bum.

Laggy and crashes after games, for me :/. I can understand lag, after all, big server, computer performance, etc. But it seems like every game I join, if I leave, it crashes the entire game right after. Wee bit annoying if you ask me.

Cars... Ah yes, the car, the most cruel feature to add, we all hoped it would be great, and it isn't bad, but uh, we could have problems with it. If you fly your car in the air (believe me, it is totally possible and you will do it) you miiiiggghhht fly right out of it and die. Bum. Plus (and this is a more minor thing) your character model doesn't actually stick to the vehicle, so when you hop in and drive, it lags behind it, making it look like you are hovering while your car is just ahead of you. I mentioned that because I cry about tiny things, but hey, some peeps might find it really annoying, but you can't expect much from a free game.

Speaking of free, free might be free, but is it really, free? When you hop into the game, many things are locked up tight, you have to pay for them, and some things seem so minor to pay that it bugs me. Like buying a weapon skin that doesn't even look great to me, or buying cosmetics. Not a bad idea, but it's bad if the cosmetic is like a slightly different tinge of green than the default green you normally get. Maybe that cosmetic doesn't exist, but you get what I mean? They don't even look great is what I am saying, and yet they are expensive as hellalalala, excuse my French.

Should you get it? Sure, but personally, I don't recommend it.

That moment when you buy a game that everyone says is great, and then proceed to start wasting your life playing it because it is so wonderfully good... Oh well, at least I got no regrets!

The game is pretty great, you basically jump in and play as this character who goes to inherit his grandpa's farm in a place known as Stardew Valley in order to escape the endless depression and suffering known as life. I wish I could do that. Anyways, the game starts you off with farming tools and seeds, as well as a plot of land that is either the one you chose when you first made your character or the default one the game gives you. From there, you are left to your own devices, able to do almost anything you want.

The game has a nice feel to it, and a sweet soundtrack that plays in my wet dreams. Now, to what I like:

I like the customization to your character at first; it is super simple. Pick the color of your hair, eyes, clothes, and chose what hair you want. Then you give your little dude/lady a name, and chose their favorite thing.

The game sounds great, like I said, and looks like the dream, the wet one. I also love the way some of the characters are made to be and how you become friends with them. As you progress in the lovely flower field known as friend land, you learn more and more about the characters, and with some you can even become a little closer to.

Farming mechanics seem simple and easy. You plant the seeds, give them water, and wait a day. The next day, you water them and care for them like it is the most precious thing you will ever see, and you repeat this until the crop is grown. Then what happens next is easy; pick the ready crop and either sell it in the box next to the house, sell it at the local shop, or keep it for later. Once you start progressing through the game, everything starts sliding into place and you get to do more and more things, such as fishing, getting product from animals, growing shrooms in your backyard (not really) and more.

Freedom! Do what you please, people! Take off your pants in public, rummage in your neighboors's trash recepticle, give that one annoying person a piece of clay, give that pretty lady you saw earlier a nice dandelion, and then watch as she hits you over the head because you had no pants on! Now, pretty much all of what I just said was exaggeration, but basically what I mean is that you can do what you want in the game. You can spend your time farming, perhaps, or become a forest logger. Maybe even start mining and slaying monsters, and while you are at it you can help the town, develop wonderful relationships, grow your farm, and more!

Now to the cons of life-

Basic knowledge of life. You start off the game not really knowing too much, unless you decide to use the wiki or have prior knowledge to the game. Players can have a hard time at first developing relationships with town members; the people of the town are very picky, and won't just take your underwear as a gift! Some of them might like dandelions, others like food, others special gifts, and some just want your soul! You won't really know right away what to do at the start of your venture, and I didn't see a deep tutorial going in depth for stuff. But you'll learn everything eventually, I swear!

Saves. This is a minor one, but I'm a cry baby, so brace yourselfs, brace! You pretty much only save when you sleep, which happens when you either go to bed at the end of the day or if you just pass out over exhaustion. I like to save whenever I please, perhaps I got tired half-way through my dungeon adventure and I want to save and log off of the game so I could come back. Nope, you got to go back home and save so you can sleep. You feel hungry, and you decide to go out and get food, but you're completing a quest for the wonderful Penny (example, not truly a epic quest) Nah, gotta go back to the house and save in the middle of the game's day cycle. I would really love it if you could just save wherever, whenever!

There's more to this, pros and cons, but lets just jump right to the conclusion and answer that question you've been begging to be answered: is the game worth the money, that green stuff? Yes, yes, yes, and YES. I love the game so much, it is fantastic, and definitely worth the money, though it wouldn't hurt to save money and buy it on sale if you wanted to.

I like this game, it is pretty fun for me to play. Of course, I do encounter problems sometimes, like when switching actors, it gets stuck on the switch thing (Don't question me) and I can't switch actors whatsoever, using jetpack might malfunction so it just keeps on going even after I activate it, etc. But to me that's fine, I enjoy sandbox stuff like this, but the real question is, is it worth the price?

Sort of, It's definitely fun to play, especially since it is split screen, but config has to be set up, or (here it comes) you're gonna have a bad time. But still, it is fun, but personally between me and you, wait for it to be on sale, perhaps?
Good game though

This game is exceedingly good, and yet I don't see too many people playing it. It lives up to be pretty good, even in early access state. For one, you got some story time and the game seems pretty simple to go by. You got fighter types, weapons for them, customize them, and when they're in battle all you do is just point them where to go and they'll take it from there. It's got a nice turn-base feel, you got side quests and minor missions to do when the story isn't there, you can play with friends.

Best part? Stamper. Is. The. Bear/narrator thing.
I can't wait to see what the game will be like when it's fully released. Should you buy it? The real question is, why wouldn't you buy it?
