It took some getting used to but some things that helped me:

Fire permanently injured guys
Ranged attacks can go through people you are adjacent to with no penalty
use throwables until people are right on your front line
Skip your first turn

This game is pretty good but the balance is not where it needs to be. Do not play this game blind, if you do not have knowledge of enemies and curios I don't think it is possible to not get your ♥♥♥♥ completely rocked even if you have a sound strategy. Also the game is just straight up too long, grind or not, you will need a LOT of time to complete this game

This game feels like home in a lot of ways. So many things are broken but so many things are possible and thats what matters. A lot of things are possible and most all of it is fun

Great soundtrack and solid gameplay, items seem to matter more than base moveset as no items directly affect damage (that i have found) so new characters only get to shine on the first 2 stages but other than that real good

This game was amazing! Easy and intuitive controls, a beautifully crafted word, made up words, adorable everything, a whimsical and intriguing story, and fun gameplay. The only issue with this game is the lack of a community, and sometimes being unclear on where to go or how to activate alters. (Finally found a guide about halfway through to consult about some not so clear puzzles) But even these were just small grievances, often times being lost in the world was part of what made it so fun. Exploring this game and its world was well worth not knowing what to do often times.
