I don't normally play horror games but this one makes me feel genuinely scared and I enjoy every second of it

This review will say what every other review says.
It's a fun BUT short platformer.
It only takes about half an hour to get 100% completion but sometimes it's nice to have little peaceful experiences like this.
I bought in the Summer Sale so it was well worth the dollar.
I'm not going to spoil it but let's just say the ending is very heartwarming. :)

I'm not recommending it for it's retail price of $9.99
The only way I would recommend it is buying it on sale for $3 or less.
This is the type of game that is fun for 10 minutes and it's a nice little gag the first time, but after that it's just really boring.

It's one of those games where it's more fun to watch somebody play it than to play it yourself.

As you can see I haven't put too many hours into Left 4 Dead 2, at least on PC. I first played this game on Xbox 360 and I had an absolute blast just playing the campaigns over and over again. I got this in the Summer Sale of 2013 but haven't played it a whole lot since I kind of burnt myself out on it. I probably clocked 200+ hours on Xbox 360. I will now list the pros and cons of the game.

+Super smooth and fun gameplay.
+Melee weapons are a new edition.
+Melee weapons are fun and satisfying to use.
+Gore mechanics make kills entertaining and keeps killing zombies fun.
+Steam Workshop support. I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun with that...
+Some kind of AI Director that changes the game each time you play. This keeps it from getting too repetitive.
+Really fun with a group of friends.
+Variety of infected in each campaign to spice up the common infected a bit.
+Variety of environments to keep the game feeling fresh.
+Great optimization, seriously. I don't know a single person who can't run this.
+Interesting characters.
+Still has a very big and active community at the time of writing this.
+The option to turn gore off is a nice touch for people that don't like it. It doesn't personally bother me but it's whatever I guess lol.

-The graphics are a bit dated and sometimes the textures are pretty ugly. This is expected as the game is from 2009.
-Can get somewhat repetitive and boring without friends.
-Playing singleplayer can be extremely frustrating due to the sometimes STUPID AI survivors.

I had a hard time coming up with negatives/cons. That should tell you something. Overall it's a really fun game to play with friends. Although playing alone can be frustrating, mods from the Steam Workshop should keep you entertained. I'd say this is a definite buy, especially if you can get it on sale for $10 or less.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

I haven't played this a whole lot... Mostly because I'm stuck on the first boss battle... I know, I'm bad.
This game is as simple as it gets, defeat waves of enemies, upgrade gear, defeat more waves.
Although it is surprisingly fun and addictive. It's a pretty long game so personally, I think the price is justified.

Beware of the difficulty spike around level 6 though. You may have to replay earlier levels to get coins to level up your gear to even have a chance.

Even though I haven't played this game a whole lot, it's a pretty cool game with a nice concept.
If you've ever played Cookie Clicker and liked it, then there is a big chance you'll like this game.
It is really relaxing at first but becomes a little bit stressful because you have to defend your "garden", I guess you'd call it.
It's a small game but really addictive. Thus, I think the price is justified.
