don't buy this game if you got a system that falls right into the recommended specs (for now)

Incredibly high cpu usage and constant fps spikes (despite having the recommended specs)

I've got a laptop with the following specs :
I7-9750H
GTX 1660 TI
16GB of ram

The laptop doesn't have thermal throttling and has been undervolted for better performance (I also did some tinkering with my OS and BIOS to max out the performance of my laptop), I have been running games like red dead 2, Elden ring and COD cold war fine so I don't know on to why the game is badly optimized like that

I just hope the game does better in the future so I can change the review and enjoy it, like I enjoyed the forest with friends

I'm gonna shift this review if it gets more perfomance updates (for the moment im just gonna get a refund and re-buy it later or have when access to my other pc)

short but definitely good

this game is really good as a coop game. The classes are really well implemented and allow this cooperation with the equipments that those classes have, some classes may need other classes to make a certain task easier.

The randomly generated caves can be suprising even after a long time of playing, each biome has their quirk and visuals. Tho it can rarely be frustrating (if the cave has a unfair generation)

What I really like about this game is the loadout potentials. Making your own build and trying it out is really fun. It allows you to switch out playstyles alot. Tho there is a small issue of balance in the weapons/upgrades, some of this stuff being underpowered and some being kinda meta crosses out some of the options you have for a build and it is kind of annoying (I would recommend more buffs on weak stuff than nerf on meta stuff)

season 1 and season 2 has kept it fresh tho. Each weapon they add still adds a ton of build potential. And the new enemies and missions/events are a neat addition.

overall I recommend this game, tho the first few hours of the game can be boring because of how much stuff is locked before leveling up but the classes, cave generation and events kept me from getting bored from the begining

I don't recommend this game YET,

(so before getting angry at a literal review, I will remove/change this review when the game gets out of early access or if I decide to play it again)

first off, the game doesn't even have the same feeling as SYNTHETIK 1, where the game used to feel more like everything had an impact, you had way more feedback on the thing that you did in game. SYNTHETIK 1 feels more fast paced and everything had more impact to it

SYNTHETIK 2 on the other hand feels slower and less eventful. It has less feedback like audio or visuals (and hell, some of the audio bugs out and doesn't even play). Not only to mention that it has way less customisation to loadouts and overall content as the previous one

The ost is ok, but I still like the first game's ost better.

The game is very un-optimised aswell, I couldn't play the game without exceeding 90°C on my CPU (yes I am playing on a laptop but at the same time ELDEN RING ran better than this even though it does not have good optimisation and is more demanding), and the fact that assets load in at the wrong time resulting in the game micro freezing at times.

the game need more time and it launched too early.

I'm refunding the game and I will maybe buy it later if the game is out of early access and those issues are addressed.

they fixed the game and now they are breaking it with Tencents bs,
there's already a in game currency, and I can't imagine what bs they will do next, Tencent already ruined multiple game with those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scummy micro transaction tactics (and since this is a chinese company with no trust, they might even have put in some spyware ♥♥♥♥ in there)

don't buy this game, don't give money to Tencent.

Paid weapons and skins in a 28eur. game

not only the weapons are expensive as f*** (10eur for ONE weapon) and of course they have to be top tier (mostly the berserker's)
