Refunct is an entertaining first person platformer and parkour game. It has a minimalistic and clean visual style that, while being colourful enough, maintains a sober feel to it. The game scenery consists on a series of platforms that arise above the surface of an endless calm sea as the game progresses. Other elements include spring platforms, elevators and sort of vacuum tubes. Looking up there's a beautiful sky which transitions from one dusk to the next, making the ambience light vary accordingly. The music is beautiful and contributes to the game's mood and pace.
Player's aim is to traverse from one checkpoint to the next using parkour style movements, uncovering rising platforms and picking a series of cubes until the game's done. It is a short game but there's much replayability if you accept the speedrun challenge and another one that requires you to reach the end while touching the floor the least times possible.
Really worth playing, and cheap!!

First of all it's important to make clear that this game is episodic. So far two of them. Five dollars each on Steam. That's something that's not actually clear in the store page.
Then, to the game. I played the first Episode/chapter. The gameplay consists on observing a scene and selecting the correct from two to four choices. If you accumulate wrong answers you "die". All the correct answers are pretty straightforward if you take five seconds to examine the current scene. There are no actual puzzles. The closest thing to it are two electrical circuits you have to complete for an elevator and a tram to work. Those are really straightforward too. There is no actual challenge about the game, which leaves it as a an interactive -interesting enough- story.
Visuals are good, something to expect when UE4 is involved, but there are other similar titles like The Vanishing of.... that are way better, both visual and gamrplay-wise. I'm adittion, it suffers from serious performance and optimization issues, with stutters and locks like hell.
They did manage to transmit an abandonment-sinister atmosphere to the facility.
There are achievements, but you are required to do some cumbersome workaround to get one of them.
