Locking New Game Plus behind a DLC is very stupid.
The dungeon itself is just like the other 2 dungeons already in the game but tailored for a higher level cap, which is nice to have after finishing the game and is a nice way to level up for a new game plus run but other than that the fights and dungeon itself are very boring. The only thing that are of note are the boss fights contained in are quite neat, more of that would've been great. For 20 dollars this isn't worth it, maybe on a sale?

Sega not everyone of your games needs multiple editions with charts showing what DLC you get for buying which version. This has been a trend in all of your games as of late and it's tiring, I hope this is the wake up call you need to do better but I sincerely doubt that it is, though considering how this got quite a bit of news coverage and has put entire people off of buying the game in general, I really do hope you reconsider.

Try to change the resolution? Game crashes.
Die and reload a checkpoint? Game crashes.
Try to alt tab? Game crashes.
Try to upgrade your weapon at the bench? Game can crash.

When I can play the game it's fantastic and despite the constant crashing I'm still trying to play through the game, but it is so frustrating, hoping for a patch but games shouldn't launch in this state in the first place.

A great end to Kiryu's story, a few problems here and there but nothing that ruins the experience, god tier soundtrack, fun new combat and engine A+

Yakuza 5 is packed to the brim with content, with 5 playable protagonists and each with their own unique minigames, story, locations and "fighting" style. If you were to only pick up one of the remasters, this would be the one to get (though I heavily recommend playing 3 and 4 as well) The game runs on the same engine as 0 so anyone that has played that game should instantly feel familiar with this one. Story is great, even when packed with all these different characters they really learned
from 4 how to better implement all of them in the same story. One could argue that this game is the best of the series.

Yakuza 4 has a lot of great parts of yakuza and some lesser parts, this game is the first to introduce multiple playable protagonists, but the problem is that your time with each feels quite rushed and combining the plots for all of these characters is messy. You end up with some characters getting most the important story sections and then characters like Kiryu that seem like they don't have much to do, however all the characters have their own fighting styles and are all fun to play as. The multiple protagonists is such a great idea and they later refine that aspect in Yakuza 5.

Yakuza 3 gets a lot of hate that it doesn't deserve, while a little clunky compared to the later games, enemies end up blocking a lot more than later games and other slight annoyances, the rest of the game shines, Okinawa is such a great location and you end up missing it a lot in later games. It's also nice to see where Kiryu and Haruka are at after the end of Yakuza 2 and how Kiryu gets pulled back into the Tojo Clans affairs

It's pretty fantastic, I tend to suck at RPG's and was worried for the direction this game was taking before it came out, as a big fan of the series and the beat-em up style, I was worried that I wouldn't end up enjoying this as much. I'm so glad to say that I was worrying for nothing because this game quickly became one of my favourites in the whole series, up there with 0, 5 and Kiwami 2. Ichiban's story is so heartbreaking and compelling and this game is so worth picking up and it acts as a pretty good entry point for anyone looking to get into the series, though there are a few spoilers for previous entries.
