It has problems, obviously. But if you liked Reach back in the day, this is that but better in basically every way. A few bugs here and there that didn't exist back in the day, bugs with over 60fps, bugs with the audio libraries. But none of it is gameplay affecting - except for the baffling choice to force TU across all playlists. I get it 343, you made the TU, you think it's superior sure whatever. but player choice would be great. After all, you left the vanilla Team Slayer playlist live on Reach and its historically been the most consistently populated playlist long term so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mods are a huge plus, Assembly is pretty mature now and the community is making new discoveries almost daily at this point.

Well worth the money, if you are a veteran or new to the series. Just wait till 343 fixes the audio bug to play campaign, otherwise it sounds like you're watching a podcast the voices are so loud and the rest of the mix so quiet and poorly compressed.

Early Access Review
It's very important to remember what this is - this is not a complete game. Hell, it's barely even a competent experience. It's a launching point, designed to help fund the development of the game in the future. Most people will not be okay with that. If that's you, stop buying early access games.

PROS:
- Unreal Engine 4, upgraded over the older UE2 used in Postal 2
- Engine seems to mostly replicate features in Postal 2 competently, polish is missing and content isn't there, but the framework is there, functioning, and easily able to be built on.
- Same devs as Postal 2, so none of that Postal 3 garbage.

CONS:
- Really isnt much to do. That's to be expected, this is a super mega-early build.
- Reused assets from Postal 2, see above line
- What is there is glaringly unfinished - multiple holes in the environment, some assets don't load, performance is horrendous given what is being rendered, etc.
- No save functionality yet
- Minor bugs, visual and gameplay impacting, again the content is super early

Basically, if you love Postal and want more, and you want to support RWS, go for it, you get it for cheaper and get the experience of telling the devs how broken their ♥♥♥♥ game is and them responding to your emails telling you to drink their piss. What is here is a competent vision of the future - weapons work more or less the same they do in Postal 2. AI works more or less the same they do in Postal 2. Level design, audio, core gameplay loop, it's all here and is a great place to build on to add content and polish up and clean up over time. But it is not a "fun" or "compelling" game by any stretch of the imagination.

If you are looking for ANY form of experience involving even a slightly playable game, go away. This isn't for you. That will come with time, and hey, even if it doesn't, i'm just glad I was able to give the devs more money cause I like what they do and want to support that. They could have done a "this does nothing but give us money" DLC for Postal 2 and I would have bought that as well.

Looking forward to the future, and even if all you guys do is run off with my money, oh well, at least I was able to give you more money than the cheap sale price I paid for Postal 2.
