Where to even begin with this?

There's a lot to unpack with this Capcom Collection, not only because it is a Collection of some of Capcom's Greatest Classic Fighting Games but also because of how much of an impact many of these Titles included were a part of the Pillars of The Arcade Era of Gaming with them FINALLY being Released Officially on Modern Gaming Platforms and with Online Features included.

To start The Darkstalkers Series really ramped up what to expect from a Capcom 2D Fighter after many iterations of Street Fighter II came before it in both it's Gameplay, Speed, and how to handle Super Moves!

Looking for what many consider The Best Version of Street Fighter II? Then look no further than Hyper Street Fighter II which let's you play as EVERY Playable Iteration of a Street Fighter II Character and have them fight each other as well!

If you're looking for some Goofy but still challenging fun this Collection also has Super Puzzle Fighter & Super Gem Fighter added to the Mix! Hilarious Fighting Action and Competitive Puzzle Pummeling!

We also got some Anime Mecha Combat with the Arcade hit Cyberbots included which has the first appearance of Jin Saotome which many would recognize from Marvel VS. Capcom!

And Last but Least we even have the first home release of Red Earth! One of the few RARE Titles Capcom made for the CPS3 outside of the Street Fighter III Games!

There's PLENTY of Capcom History to uncover with this Collection, a Variety of Different Gameplay, not to mention the Art Gallery & other Behind The Scenes Features like being able to listen to a ton of the Music for each Game too which gives you a sense of the Old-School Arcade Era as well.

Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND This Game Collection for not only Fighting Game enthusiasts but those who genuinely like Classic Retro Titles! 👍

Definitely a Game for anyone who calls themselves a Giant Robot Anime Fan!

While there might have been a few Odd Entries within the Series' past to make an appearance in the West, this is the first time a Game in the Super Robot Wars / Super Robot Taisen Series has released near Globally while having Licensed Properties from Multiple Anime Series & Video Game Series to allow a Large Crossover Event to happen.

Games released in the West before were Spin-Offs using the "Original" Characters created for the Series to help the facilitate the Crossover between the different Franchises in their own Original Storylines without the Crossover Characters included rather than what the Series is mostly known for, which is adapting and mixing all the different Storylines of various Mechas to form a Large Crossover Plot but due to licensing fees it would be near impossible to bring those Titles outside of Asia, however this entry was somehow able to actually release near Globally which is a feat itself!

For those wondering the actual Gameplay is your typical JRPG Grid Turn-Based Strategy fare in the vein of games like Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea, etc. The Game's Difficulty, Strategies, Upgrades, and Challenges are adjustable to meet a variety of Skill Levels to those types of Games mentioned anywhere between a Rookie Player & Tactical Veteran but where the real "MAGIC" happens is the beautifully animated Attack Animations for all the Robots within the Game & the Plotline of the Game itself.

Each Character & Robot featured within the Game has their own "History" both within the Plot of the Game or Outside if it if it's a Crossover Entry. Knowledge of this History is not required to play the Game since the Game has many ways to fill in Players who might be new to EVERYTHING but the Game does more or less include their own Encyclopedia or Wiki for those who want to look deeper into something.

This attention to detail is important because besides Crafting the Overall LORE it also helps that they use this Information to straight-up recreate things from Other Anime Series & Video Games to a near 1:1 Scale and then some! The Attack Animations are pretty much directly the Attacks from each Series featured in the Crossover getting details like the Original Voice Actors to return to say some new lines or completely remaking Animations from The Anime Shows to use within the Game. Watching to see all these Attack Animations & catching all the differences on Repeat, and making certain match-ups happen between specific Robots is almost like a Mini-Game in of itself!

There's plenty of Replayability depending on what Story Decisions you make in the Game, what Characters & Robot Units you decide to send out, what Upgrades you use and don't use, and many hidden things to Unlock in the Game. So if you're trying to 100% cover it all you'll be here for a looooooooooonnnnnng while.

This is Super Robot War's 30th Anniversary Title and the first entry in the Series after they received a Guinness World Record for "The Most Intellectual Property Licenses used in a Role-Playing Video Game Series" and you can definitely tell they've been doing these Games for 30 Years and wanted to show The World their experience with this Celebration Entry.

Overall I'd recommend this Game to Fans of ANY of the Series Featured in the Crossover, Fans of Giant Robot Anime in General, Fans of JRPG Strategy Games, Fans of Import Games, Fans of Storyline Writing since they found a way to make it all work, or even Fans of Games you can keep on coming back to so you can discover more things! :D
