Absolutely amazing.

It's still in EA, so it has some shortcomings and lack of some QoL features that Factorio has gotten us used to in this genre of games, such as blueprints and copying.

It's still very good however. The interplanetary thing and a goal of building a Dyson sphere are unique in it of itself IMO. It starts out simple, and becomes more complicated with time. Don't be afraid to start out with spaghetti!

Take this tip: play it the first time without looking at any "smelter arrays" or "optimal layouts". Figure it out yourself entirely first, it's actually quite fun!

Definitely a 100% buy at normal price if you even remotely enjoyed Factorio or Satisfactory.

Onward was good. Before it eventually wasn't.

1.8 has brought a massive downgrade to Onward with a graphics downgrade, removing ragdolls, etc. This is sort of like if you were to make a game for PS4, then release it on PS3 so you have to downgrade the PS4 version.

All of this because of the Oculus Quest.

Don't buy this game and get a refund if you can. This isn't gonna get any better. I can no longer recommend this at all, you are better off playing Zero Caliber or Contractors. Onward is now pure garbage.

Tip: don't follow any guides early on and discover the game yourself, it makes it 100% more fun!

Better than PUBG or Fortnite.

If youre stuck on the Hard to Expert gap, dont panic. Download mods and load up some hard and expert songs. A good introductory Expert song is Beat Saber, or Escape (vanilla)

I joined Paladins in CLOSED Beta. The game back then was amazing. Vast maps, mount whenever you want to and the Siege mode??? Man those were the golden days!

And now? Theyre just chipping away, no im sorry, SLASHING away all that was unique to this game. Theyre drowning it in the mainstream. Its just turning into Overwatch and now PUBG with Paladins: Battlegrounds. Like seriously? Paladins: BATTLEGROUNDS? Cant you come up with a better ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ name? All this has in store that PUBG or Fortnite doesnt is hero classes. Oh man do i want Greene to sue Hi-Rez now. As much as I dislike PUBG, this is straight off copy+paste work.

What was once a unique siege mode and vast and open maps has turned into a wannabe pay to win Overwatch+pubg combo. Maps are COD size, gamemodes are very much like OW and COD and now PUBG even. They took away their own creations and placed in someones work. What a shame...

And the cherry on top is... "were listening to the community!" nuff said. Remember all the ♥♥♥♥ they got for Essence? For adding a third ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ currency? ALL of their sub-reddit was up in flames. They ignored it. They didnt even care. Same happened with OB64. Honestly ♥♥♥♥ Hi-Rez and everything they stand for. You disgust me.

TLDR: Should you play this? No. Whether youre new or old, you took a break or a friend invited you. Dont. You could try it but just dont commit to this piece of ♥♥♥♥. It still uses UE3 aswell.
