Phenomenal game - if you do not mind Walking Simulators. The game doesn't have a lot of gameplay, but if you're interested in an innovative and eventful story with themes previously unexplored in the gaming landscape AND some Neon Genesis Evangelion / NieR Automata -esque lore, this game is a must-play.

Really liked this game. As someone who grew up with Max in Life is Strange 1, it's awesome to see her grow up with you - quite the reflective experience. I think they did her character justice.

The game looks pretty good and the music is phenomenal - but there are a few quirks sometimes that need ironing out. A con is the performance, which is very hit-or-miss sometimes. The game also crashed on me once.

The gameplay is quite mid. It's alright if you like the Walking-Simulator-esque experience of other LiS titles, but it does get a bit slow at times. It very much gets carried by the general atmosphere of the game and a great performance by Max' voice actress.

The story works well if you've chosen a certain ending in Life is Strange 1, and a bit less so if you chose another one. That said, I really liked the narrative - there were lots of unexpected twists, the writing and characters feel real - not always sympathetic, but that's how it is in real life. Their developments and general attitude are nuanced and complex. That makes them kinda hard to figure out sometimes, but I feel like that's immersive. There are a lot of open questions that might need answering, but I really thought the general themes came across well overall. That said, it does require a bit of an open mind, since the game works best if you accept some narrative contrivences and a certain unpredictability for the sake of the overall experience.

It's not better than Life is Strange 1, but I definitely recommend the game.

The best Strategy Game about the Victorian Age out there. I recommend playing it with mods for extra flavor.
