don't get me wrong this game is really good and the story is great and zombies is great but I finally came back to this game after years of not playing it so I had a nostalgic kick to want to play zombies again just to find out that they completely abandoned the game to the point that they don't even do hot fixes and apparently there's a problem with the game where the game will start in a black screen and you won't be able to play it and the only solution is to uninstall a sound mixer called voice meter banana and since I use that all the time I'm not getting rid of it just to play one single game the fact that an entire game can be bricked because of a sound mixer is ridiculously stupid who the hell coded and programmed this game

I really hope that people steam award and like the hell out of this review because I really want it to be publicly seen as much as possible. I absolutely hate this game not because I played it but because my mom who decided to start playing video games spent over $2000 on this game And is continuing to spend. I recently played it because I wanted to see where the hell she was spending the money and all I can say is the people who made this game are absolute scumbags the amount of microtransactions that they've added is insane and the fact that you can also buy items to progress in the game further through the use of in-game currency that you can pay for is even more scummy. Sadly my mom is going to continue to blow money as much as possible and I can't do anything nor my father too because even though it's costing us a lot and ruining our livelihoods it's way cheaper than a divorce. I was happy that my mom was playing video games but I didn't expect the first game she would ever touch would be some crappy Chinese spyware gotcha game full of addictive gambling. 100% don't play this. Also, one other thing when I played it today for the first time to see where all the money was going I learned that the game is full of very sad people who have pretty much made this game into their second life because their lives in the real world are just that horrible the game is an absolute depressing ♥♥♥♥ show. (I am going to update this post every month on how much she has spent and how bad my family life gets btw i am also a college student.)

It hasn't even been a full month yet. My dad told my mom to stop all the extensive amounts of purchasing because he's working summers for free at this point and that she's bleeding his account. She promised she wouldn't anymore than three days later spent $150 on the game. Yesterday she told me that a lot of people were talking about this post, and she told me to delete it because apparently she's been talking about my Steam account name for some reason, I don't know why it's like a weird flex that she's bragging about. So she barges into my room today as I am about to go the university and tells me to delete the Steam post everyone is talking about it. Since I don't like my freedom of speech being censored especially since it's my right as a legal consenting adult to have my two cents on this game, I instead changed my steam account name and profile to cater to the new life that she made in that game so that people won't recognize who she is and put two and two together. I have to cater to her by destroying my account name and photo just so that she can have a better life than the rest of the family. (Anyone who reads this don't harass her don't try to track her down just let her live in her sad reality.) I've become contempt with it and my father at this point has become contempt with it. At this point we realize that nothing can be done to fix her problem.) All I can say is if she thinks I'm gonna remove this she's sadly mistaken. I want everyone to see this and I wanted to show at least a few bit of people how much damage addictive gambling in video games can be and how the Chinese markets and other third party worldwide game companies can cause massive damage to people's lives. I really feel like the world needs to kind of regulate this stuff but it looks like that ain't gonna happen for a long time. So for now that's what's happened.

My dad is getting really sick of it and told her she's blown in total about $4900. He's getting so sick of it he wants to delete all the credit cards, ask for new ones, and transfer all the money into my name. She's such a wonderful mother that on the 4th of July, she spent $100 while I was dripping sweat cleaning the entire backyard all day. So far, every time I clean the home and think that I've hit a breakthrough where it's going to get easier I just find out it gets a lot harder because the remnants of all of her other little hobbies that she gave up on are starting to come back and in horrible forms don't ask what that means it's worse than it sounds.

Also annoyingly enough my dad wants me to reinstall this horrible game and play a little further so he can figure out even more where the hell she's spending all this money. I currently really don't want to play this game Ever again that's how bad this game is.

The game is not bad but it 100% is not good. First of all the Campaign was extremely short, one of the shortest Call of Duty Campaign out there, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was 10 hours Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was 9 hours: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was only 5 hours long. The developers that were complaining on Twitter when Christopher Judge the voice of Kratos called them out at the game awards for the game being too short should just all shut up. They spent more time making the microtransactions for this game than they did making longer stories and better content.

The story itself is a joke. The fact that they ran out of story ideas and now they are relying on remastering the old story and changing the story just a little bit is a joke.

The PvP sucks. It's not as bad as Destiny 2 PvP but it's still pretty bad. In almost every game mode you have to deal with enemy teams with big mouths and small brains and everyone does the same repetitive trash things jumpshoting, proning, sliding, spawn manipulation, and grenade launchers: if I had a nickel for every time I've heard a grenade launcher be used in a match I'd be a multi-millionaire by now: also abusing overpowered weapons like automatic shotguns with thermite rounds pretty much scumbags doing the scummiest things imaginable because they're bad and they need crutches like that to try to win fights. So yes, the PvP is extremely terrible, and skill-based matchmaking and spawn locations are poorly designed.

The biggest part of the franchise, the zombie’s part has been pretty much overlooked. They recently released a battle pass season that's all about zombies and they didn't make any changes to MWZ they really should add more stories to MWZ and more content but they're not either because they're lazy or they don't care. It's funny that they're doing the same stereotype that Epic Games did with their zombie game mode Save the World. The legitimate only reason why I even bought this game in the 1st place was for the zombies, there's not even a round-based zombie game mode. If they don't add any new content to any of the zombie stuff, I'm just going to uninstall the game because zombies are what made Call of Duty what it is today, not PvP the two things that made Call of Duty what it is was the amazing story and the zombies game mode and both of those right now are extremely lackluster.

Truthfully, in my opinion, none of the developers behind this game should be in the gaming industry anymore. It's easy to tell that they probably cheated all their university exams to graduate because when you look at how crappy this game is and how it's just a cash grab for money and they put as little effort into as possible putting things like skin collecting and weapon leveling as content when all it is is just blatant repetitive farming that's very easy to develop. What they really should have done was make a better and bigger story instead of the ingame store. This game could have been amazing, but it is just a mediocre cash grab from Activision as usual. I would love to see Activision go bankrupt for all the horrible things they've done to the gaming industry and cod but that's never going to happen because too many people voted with their wallets. P.T. Barnum once said, There's a sucker born every minute and that's why Activision has been alive for this long.

I've literally been trying my hardest to play this game since it's a Wild West cowboy game, but this game is absolutely broken if this game is this broken then I do not have any hope for GTA6, and what I mean by that is I have been trying to start the game up and every time I do that within three seconds of it starting up it immediately crashes with no window popping up. I've tried to run the game and steam in administrative mode, updated all of my graphics drivers to the latest versions, my Windows 10 to latest versions, allowed permissions through my windows firewalls, uninstalled and reinstalled rockstars launcher, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, check the file integrity, and a bunch of other things. What is with these stupid game companies thinking that people want 100 different launchers just remove the Rockstar launcher altogether and just put everything on steam it's absolutely brain dead and I 100% think that this launcher is the cause of all this problem so yes I have an almost $50 game and I can't even play it best of Rockstar also I asked for the help of the community and also the help of Rockstar the company itself and they pretty much can't help me for crap either.

This game had so much potential don't get me wrong I do like the PvP sometimes, the raids, and the weapons but the game company has ruined this game. They care more about microtransactions like battle passes, 50 to $100 DLC, and Loot Crate, also $15 to $20 skins than they do actually making a good story driven game. Every time something bad happened the developers and the company itself would just say we don't really want to do anything about it because it's too hard or wouldn't make us enough money. The game could have definitely been so much better but truthfully for the insane amount of money that is required to make the game fully complete I could spend it on so many more things. I really thought that when Bungie left Activision it was because of toxicity and they wanted to not be like them but truthfully Bungie has become worse than Activision and that's a surprise.

This game is fun to play.

Cons
I really wish that there were far more pros than there were cons but sadly there are a lot more cons and some of which are very important to talk about. The first thing in the beginning I talked about was how there were only eight heists, and this felt more like a prequel to what's expected in Payday 3 than the actual Payday 3 game it sucks that we had very few heists to actually do, and they gave us more animated cinematics then heists. I'm disappointed that there's no safe house where we can put our spoils of conquest and mementos like in Payday 2.
The bulldozer is very disappointing. In payday 2 the bulldozer was far scarier and more ominous looking in 3 the new bulldozer looked really terrible. I love that he arrogantly brags giving people a lot of time to kill him. For a game that they wanted to make as realistic as possible, that's not realistic at all. Also, for how much damage you have to put into him to kill him, it is also not realistic that something like his visor would crack off immediately since in real life visors like that are not bulletproof truthfully, I really wish they brought back the old dozer because the old dozer was more logical since they were wearing full Kevlar armor and a metal face mask. Shields used to be very annoying in Payday 2 but easy to deal with but now Shields on Payday 3 are more disappointing. Yes, they have more health, but they spawn very little, you'll only get one or two Shields here and there. The enemies are slightly overkill on the easiest difficulty. Back in Payday 2, you would get more and more challenging enemies the higher the level you select but on normal you can literally get every single enemy type bulldozer, cloaker, Tasers literally all of them in the first difficulty and you would think that they're very quick to kill but they take a little bit of work to kill, some of them not all of them and since they are very tanky doing challenges can be slightly difficult and time-consuming because of this.
The AI team is an absolute joke. I used to think that the AI team in Payday 2 was terrible and that mods were needed to make them better and more competent, but I recant that statement because the AI in Payday 3 is way worse. Occasionally AI teammates will say screw it and go loud in a stealth mission for no real reason and they will occasionally in fights not even move or shoot and just let themselves get down. If they get downed no AI teammates will rez them so it's required by the player to rez your AI teammates. One of the biggest things I don't like about this game is the realism. In Payday 2 it was slightly goofy but still had some fun and interesting stuff to it and if you wanted more realism, you could increase the level of the difficulty and anything past overkill started to become more realistic but in Payday 3 normal just kicks you into brutality normal doesn't feel like normal it feels more like Payday 2 overkill. Payday 3 wants to be more realistic also with the enemy type and all of the stuff in it but even though they tried to go for a more realistic approach it's still is not even close for instance when you're in your casing mode you should have the ability to jump or climb things but that's only for if you're wearing a mask which is not logical and once you mask up you can't unmask which is also not logical since all you have to do is just take off your mask it's as simple as that. I feel like the ability to unmask should be a perk that you can only use once per heist but the fact that they don't have that is stupid. You can have human Shields, but you can't have the human Shield run with you. There are many examples in real life where bodyguards or people with hostages had their human shield run with them. Why isn't that in the game? Also why even is it that you have to unzip-tie the hostage to have them as a human shield? Why not just have them zip-tied the entire time and if you have to run with them grab them from their zip ties to control them? An even bigger question is why it is I'm giving these developers great ideas that they should have thought up at the start. This is the reason why I hate the stealth parts where you need someone with credentials that can do a retinal scan because if there are guards in the way and you have to carry this slow person as a human shield you can get detected by civilians or guards way easier. Truthfully, I don't want realism. If I wanted realism, I would rob a bank IRL which I do not condone anyone doing. It's kind of ironic that the game is trying its hardest to be as realistic as possible but missing so many actual realistic ideas and putting in tons of things that are completely illogical.
The mini-events that you have to do are very interesting, to say the least. I don't know if I like them, but I also don't know if I don't like them. The capture the flag or deliver the vehicle to the payload site are kind of added from PvP-style game modes from Overwatch and TF2 into heists and I kind of don't like that.
The biggest thing that I hate the most and I really wish that they learned from is Wolf HUD. I used to be a heavy supporter of Wolf HUD in Payday 2 and I really enjoyed it and used it a lot and I wish that they added something similar to that in the game like maybe a lookout or an overseer someone that can tell you how much loot there is or how many enemies there are, but they didn't give anything like that. Truthfully I'm really getting tired of the repetitiveness of payday heists where you have to run around like a chicken with your head cut off looking for items needed to complete the heist and then bag as much then leave and realize oh you missed stuff that's what I liked about Wolf HUD, Wolf HUD told you how many enemies there were, how much loot there was, and how long it’s going to take for that broke D##K piece of S##t drill to get done. With Wolf HUD you could fully clean the place out because I've looted multiple times in payday 3 highs and have still missed loot saying oh damn, I must have not seen it I really wish that they gave a better HUD for payday 3 besides the bare bones one that just tells you what your mission objectives are. Another thing I don't like is the skill tree. Compared to the Payday two skill tree they've kind of gone back a step because they have these things like edge, grit, and rush which I really don't care about, and having them active I don't really see any difference and all they give you is 10% more damage or less damage or give you the ability to run faster. I couldn't care less about these perks. Some of the perks in the skill tree shouldn't even be there, like the ability to mark two targets. Back in Payday 2, you had the ability to mark several targets as a passive ability that wasn't a part of any tree but now in Payday 3, you can't even mark two targets without a specific perk. I think that it's disgusting that they've gone back a step in the way that they do their skill trees, and it feels more like they are just trying to fill in open spaces with things that they thought were good when truthfully, they aren't at all. The perks in the skill tree are bad some of them are actually interesting and I do like them but a lot of them are just filler stuff that is crap and should just be passive abilities that the heister has already.
I also had a pro section telling all the positive things about this game but Steam doesn't allow you to have 4000 words. I have to summarize. The bag system is stupid. You put a hard drive or an art canvas into a giant duffel bag and can't carry anything else they need to make it either you can stuff the bag or carry more bags and just become heavier and slower. Challenges are extremely repetitive, and you can't filter based on the progression. They've been developing this game for eight years, the same eight years that Starfields been developing yet they have far less to show off and instead I feel like they've gone backwards.
