Edward Gorey Simulator 2014-IGN

But seriously.

Amazing story, great atmosphere, and an excellent Dark Ambient soundtrack that i better see in my inventory one day. It all blends into one of the greatest horror titles i have played in my life.

And not. One. single. Cheap as hell. Jumpscare.

Ahem, let me take you to a time when I had a period of free time. One of my best friends gave me two games. One was Broforce, the other was this game. Needless to say, this game is the ultimate bonding experience. Get this game!

The most faithful adaptation of the classic tabletop RPG to date, with a killer soundtrack to boot.

As if the "Time played" mark on this review isn't enough of an indicator, then maybe the thumbs up on this review might help you.

The first game i bought on steam, and the reason i have a steam account in the first place, this game still brings a smile to my face. One of the greatest time-passers of all time, and a classic to boot.

Probably one of the most emotional and intellectual thrill rides I have ever played. Transistor is one of those gamest that prove that actions speak MUCH more loudly than any words (including those from a narrator that rivals Supergiant's previous release, Bastion). Transistor's protagonist, Red, is engaging without speaking a word(ending doesn't count...-.-), even without a backstory more than a "2 hours ago" moment, you instantly feel compelled to help out. Battles cleverly combine Fast-Paced hack-and-slash with tactical precision that demands patience, as one misstep can mean the loss of a "function()" or game over. The story, as vague as it is at times, shows that Supergiant does NOT mess around with scripting incredible characters. Darren Korb's soundtrack and the artwork are the final two highlights that speak for themselves. Despite being 10 dollars more, the soundtrack edition is mandatory, as it is criminally addictive. Only complaint is that I don't have the soundtrack in physical form(my record collection wants a copy.....).

Short version: Supergiant inverts the "Sophmore Slump" stereotype into "Kick-Ass Game of The Year material" and gives you a killer soundtrack to boot. Also Eye Candy.

As a laconic description by TV Tropes says "Monkey Island: Deisel Punk edition", that could not be further from the truth. Deponia is probably one of the wittiest throwbacks to the Point and Click genre in a while. As Rufus, the man who gives Harry Dresden a run for Biggest Snarker in Fiction, you enter a bleak yet gorgeously drawn landscape of junk, amazing characters, and complete d-bags who plot the very destruction of mankind. As generic as it sounds, Deponia manages to remain a fresh experience in light of what most people would dismiss as an over the top MI rip-off. The puzzles are cleverly planned as hints come in the most subtle of dialogue options. The animations are well suited to the setting, giving a comic feel to the bleak planet of Deponia. All in all, if you like adventure, add this to your library.
