A fascinating critique of narrative storytelling and player choice set in a creepy abandoned office.

A parody game that's fun, but difficult to play more than once after you've already experienced the story. It's free though so worth trying for the experience.

A game about the joys of living in a communist regime while you work to support your impoverished, sick, and hungry family. All the while deciding the fates of those equally as downtrodden as you so you can make ends meet. Will you choose to be a cog in a melancholy machine, an crossing guard supporting the revolution, or will you end up against the wall?

What's not to love?!

There isn't much that I could say about Stardew that hasn't been said by thousands of other players. Charming, relaxing, and expansive are words that immediately come to mind, but what really makes this such a wonderful game is the community that has sprung from it. The mods, fan art, and the relationship that the creator has with the community really make this game different than similar indie farming simulators.

There is one downside though. As anyone who has played the game can attest to, the game unfortunately comes prepackaged with a virus that opens 20+ tabs of the Stardew Valley Wiki whenever you start the game.

My favorite game. I inevitably come back to it at least once a year to play through it and experience the world and story all over again. While Fallout 3 made me fall in love with RPGs in general and the Fallout Universe, this game surpassed it in every way. The DLC is incredible, even Dead Money which is my least favorite, the characters and themes of the game are intriguing and powerful. It's hard to believe that even 11 years later I have yet to play another game that blew me away as much as FNV did.

Sucks that it crashes every couple of hours, if you're lucky.
