Played quite a lot this past two weeks. Was offline so my actual playtime doesn't show. Just want to give this game a fair review. Played it a bit when it first came out, but my PC at the time was very weak so I did not enjoy it, the premise did stuck on me though. It was insta-buy when it got re-released. The graphics are quite dated but the gameplay was quite enjoyable. RPG-lite for busy folks like me and is very easy to continue after a week of not playing it. Experienced the bug, but it happened after prolonged play and was able to resume playing after leaving the game to continue in about 2-3 minutes. Not a game-breaking bug, but I will really appreciate it if the devs can patch it. So if you played the game when it first launched and never played the online available mods, this would be a great re-starting point to re-enjoy the game. Just don't forget to manage your expectations. Cheers! :-)

Basically it is Killing Floor 1 but the gritty atmosphere replaced with pretty textures and lot of eye-candy, it looks more like Left 4 Dead to me. :-)

Zeds are much tougher compared to KF 1, I recommend vets of the prior game to first play the maps solo and on normal mode. Multiplayer turns even the trash mobs into bullet-sponges.

The same love is given to it by the devs, meaning frequent updates & special events like "The Summer Sideshow."

They also added a lot of cosmetics ala Team Fortress so expect a lot of hats. :-)

Currently the only downside is setting up a Listen Server, it is not implemented yet, it seems that the function is hard to code in UE 3.

All in all it is the same game that we loved, just updated and beautified to invite new players.

I look forward in playing KF 2 for a long time to come.

A love letter to 90's FPS!

The action is frantic & always in your face. If you love old-skool FPS, this is definitely for you.

The author is a true fan of the genre and it shows in the level design & enemy placement.

Game is at it's early stages, but is actively updated with new features & levels.

Space Ninjas! Nuff Said! :-)

Old school shooter charm.

Current build is a bit plain, but very playable.

I think the author is on the right track with this one.

Just needs more polish, so if you enjoy the old school gameplay of Quake & Chasm: The Rift, you should definitely give this title a try. :-)

Finally added 32bit support & fixed a lot of game breaking bugs; but all a little too late. There seems to be no one playing, empty servers all around; although still a great game to play a couple of hours with friends on the weekends. =)

A bit comparable to the Alien Shooter series with way better controls, graphics and gameplay. Haven't played long tho', but so far the control scheme has a fairly easy learning curve. So far no clunky controls and noticeable in-game hiccups in single player. Enemies at first are hard to kill but not frustrating like Nation Red

What can I say... more than a thousand hours of playtime and I still keep coming back for more. Bought it on day one of its release and I haven't regretted my purchase eversince. Best game here on Steam IMHO... the devs updated game with tons of updates and the community has provided modifications that are commercial in quality. Even with the release of KF 2 this is still a go to game for me for a long time to come. Now what are you waiting for play this game... NOW! =)
