So there I was looking upon the battlefield, slots for Footmen, Ranged and a space for a siege weapon. My enemy. The Bloody barren.
At first it was going well, my melee troops outnumbered his and so did my ranged. However, on his turn he laid siege to my men and overpowerd them. With my only card available being a catapult with huge amounts of strength, I Placed it forward to oppose the Barren But it was in vain! the Barren had a ace up his sleeve and burned my beloved catapult and I had lost the battle...
Overall The Witcher 3 is a pretty good card game in my opinion and if you get bored of that there's a 3d minigame you can play where you travel the lands collecting more gwent cards!

After being punched in the face by Early access games time and time again I'm a little hurt HOWEVER. Besiege has given me the ice to numb the pain and a lollypop to cheer me up.

the core gameplay itself is there, there are enough parts to create uniqe and complex machines that you can share with friends(somewhat awkwardly at the moment). the physics in the game are relistic enough to make the game challenging but they are not too complex to make the learning curve to high. I've yet to have the game to crash from a fatal bug at the moment or even one that breaks my machine.

The design of the game is extremly charming from the art style to the calming background music that plays in the background as well as some of the little ambient noise. the explosions paticulaly look amazing. when you blow something up and set the timescale to 2% speed, it's like looking at a masterpiece, with the little soldiers spinning around on fire while the building rains down onto them. I'm not sure if the soldiers are meant to bob up and down atm or there are just no animations for them at this time but I couldn't care less. it adds to the style of the game and makes it more fun to hit them with bolders.

For the levels that are there at the moment they offer enough variety to make you try a different machine for most of the levels on your first playthrough but once you get a how the game works you can pretty much conquer them all with one machine. the developers of the game definitly know what direction they are going with which is a great beath of fresh air as most of the other Early access games just seem to push forward without knowing what exactly they want in the game.

what I'd like to see in the game once it's finished
-being able to upload your machine to the steamworkshop for others to download
-being able to upload parts that you make to the workshop
-at the very least, a 1v1 multiplayer mode(not sure how tricky this would be considering the current amount of physics)
-water/water based levels
-air based levels
-a level creator
-more complex parts for machines
-maybe the ability to paint your machine
-a leaderboard system
-boss levels (huge fortress's to destroy or fire breathing dragons to kill)
-parts that can be unlocked through playing the game (metal beams, double cannons ect)

I know that's a lot to ask of for a game that is currently £4.99 but I hope that some of them are implamented into the game. I have a huge loves for games like these (with already 17 hours in this game at the time of doing the review)and I hope that it becomes one of the top best sellers on steam

I've played this game on and off since its release
In many ways this game is very far ahead compared to other RTS
its a combination of realism with arcade-esc elements to improve game flow
All of the factions are different enough that each feels fresh to play after a few hundred hours playing one faction
There is a great number of different maps units and commander abilities.
The workshop content is fantastic with many user created mods and maps

Somehow, somewhere, someone is still updating this game, tweaking factions and semi-balancing the game as well as adding new maps, commanders and abilities. God bless their soul

I'd highly recommend this game if you have someone who already plays it and can teach you otherwise if you plan on playing online I'd steer you towards looking up guides and videos on youtube.

Aside from the good in this game there is some bad
Long term players can be extremely toxic to newcommers going as far as teamkilling
There are still issues of crashes happening mid load for some (I'd recommend restarting your game very few matches)

If you can get this game below £10 It's worth it 100%
the game itself is set in a different universe where everything is inspired by heavy metal from the enemies to your allies even the map itself.
the story and charaters are interesting enough and the humour is good(if you like the jack black type of humour).
The game itself is essentially an rpg with the main missions being a cross between a rts with the whole producing units, capturing resources and moving them units around with the addition of you yourself being able to fight in the combat.
throughout my playthrough I didn't come across any bugs or anything that ruined the game but I did find it to be way too easy as I managed to complete the game on it's hardest difficulty in only 7 hours (bear in mind I must've only died about 5 times in them hours)
There's a bunch of upgrades to the main character you can aquire in game aswell as for your main form of trainsport and lots of places to visit in the world itself.
So I hope this helps and once again if you come across this game being on sale either during a random sale or the summer and winter sale I would say buy it without a doubt like I did. Dont let it just sit there in your game libary with the other 100 or so games like I did as It was genuinly a treat to play.

I used diplomacy in a game with someone resulting in an allience and as we were about to win as allies I told him "The lanisters send their regards" in the chat and un-allied them and started attacking all of there cities.
10/10 would betray someone again.

Dont waste money on this game like I did 2 years ago, Its not going to be finished as I'm pretty sure the main dev took most of the money and pissed off to another country to work on his own game.
Spend your money on getting the mod, Rust or Ark survival.
