No matchmaking, unbalanced.

Maybe install this when it has matchmaking later.

Also change the cringy icon and thumbnail. actually pains me to open the app

Great game! Relaxing, fun, chill. Fits the build of early access as some things arent done, but core gameplay is calming enough to keep coming back. Great with friends too!

Great game, dev team is hard at work and very good at communicating.

Take two interactive fired everyone from the game 4 months ago. They know they did and they won't be able to deliver all the promised updates. Its time take two refunds all purchasers for false advertising

Edit: Sony change their stance. Nice. But they also need to restore access to purchase the game in 177 countries

I hate sand, it’s so sandy and course

An extremely pretty, early access game with a lot of potential, but not there yet

Right now, the UI and crafting is cumbersome and clunky.

Combat ai pathing is drunk.

It’s early, early access, absolutely worth checking out the development of this game. At $30 it’s priced correctly for what it provides, if it were $60 I would not recommend this game.
At $30 it’s worth a try

started game, went in room with group of friends, blew up. missed company quotas and have been murdered multiple times. Now I look in corners of dark rooms afraid of a monster that might kill me, its ruined my ability to sleep, I'm afraid of shovels now. The toilet i keep flushing in the ship, but it doesn't flush away my fear of the unknown

10/10 would recommend

Is it fun? yes
is it short? i've played other games at $60 with less content, but to do everything in act one is about 30 hours. so you make the decision.
Personally i enjoyed the content, but with the game still under development, i dont want to replay act 1 5 more times as save games might not transfer to the final release.

but i've had fun and will probably put it down until ALL of the other acts are out

also shoving is fun

Sea of thieves is a great game.
If you want something for story, riddles, and indiana jones like traps, do the tall tales.
For X marks the spots and riddles, Gold hoarders. Killing skeletons, Order of souls. PVP only, The arena (which is always getting patched and is in a state of constant change). For more relaxing, go fishing.
There's always the chance of a kraken, meg, or skeleton ship fighting you as you sail around.
Or honestly do whatever you want and fool around with friends. There is no wrong way to play this game

Overall the games mechanics are pretty simple, dig, shoot, sail, and everything in between. If something is broken in game, put in a bug report with sea of thieves team and seaofthieves.com . The team over at rare, while sometimes lacking in communication, will absolutely patch the game with players feedback in mind.
Ontop of that, rare adds new content monthly for players, sometimes its boring, sometimes its amazing.

I would give it a try with some friends.
