A game so relaxing and enjoyable, I've bought 10+ copies to send to friends just to share in the experience. Good stuff 🎣 👍

The prior entries in the "I commissioned some ..." have been a relaxing endeavor, with music and ambiance, and small creatures to click and locate in fantastical set pieces, but this change to the formula turned comfort into frustration and fatigue:

- Since there's no visual indicator of the location of the people, there's a lot more clicking at random, which caused me a bit of wrist strain.

- The perspective of the people would vary greatly between artworks, and within the same artwork/level. Their placement is almost random, like the world wasn't made with them in mind. People can be giant, or minuscule in the same setting, and a number of them are just shoved to the edges of the artwork to hit the arbitrary count of individuals.

- There's some amount of logic with the placement, like having windowsills or doors where you'd expect a person to be, but eventually the "obvious" places would be exhausted, having to resort to random clicking or judicious use of the hint button to locate the last third of the people in a level.

- The second and fifth levels did the best, keeping the invisible people to reasonable shapes and locations. Other levels would have them haphazardly hidden behind objects they logically shouldn't fit behind, leaving only a small sliver of the individual to locate and click

To make this sort of alteration to the formula work, I think you'd need a way to better indicate where people can and can't be. Artwork would need to be designed with the people in mind, interacting in an obvious fashion with the world, then have them removed, leaving clues to their locations. Maybe there could be some audio clue to their location, or some visual hint when you're close-by. More range on where you could click and count as "finding" someone would help avoid pixel-hunting.

Overall, I think this format could work, but it would need a lot of revisions to handle the issues like what I found.

(The game was free at the time of this review, so I did receive it for "free")

Edit: I did later find out that this was released on April 1st, so the frustration was likely intentional. I think the review sill stands, though.

Honestly, this game is the best Match-3 game out there, nothing else compares. I initially preferred Bejeweled 2 due to the aesthetics, but the ones in this grew on me over time, and the quality of life changes between the two games made for a much more enjoyable experience. The variety of game modes means you have something to try if you're looking for fast action, precise move planning and combos, or anything in between. The added progression of the badge/achievement system makes it even better than its predecessor, giving you something to strive for outside of the leaderboards.

10/10, would match gems again.

A treat of a game, regardless of the paths chosen. With the variety of tones and emotions at play with the voice acting, you'd think it'd have to be more than two people, but Nicole Goodnight and Jonathan Sims knock it out of the park.

Couple of issues on launch, but a lot of quality of life stuff and fixes have been implemented since. Simple game overall, but it's still fun.
