(Written in July 2023, before final release) The depth and player agency of this cRPG have already cemented it in my mind as one of my favourite RPGs I've ever played, and it's not even out yet! It's already shaping up to be one of the best RPGs ever made, and one of the best co-op games available on PC. Don't sleep on this one!

Exploration is rewarding, combat is tactical and engaging, and the narrative, dialogue, and cinematics are gorgeous and captivating. I just want to keep playing and learn more about these characters and the world. While it doesn't require knowledge of D&D to be thoroughly enjoyed, there are a lot of easter eggs and hidden fun moments for those that know what to look for. Larian knocked it out of the park on this one.

Post-launch Edit (August 2023): Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the best PC games ever made, and everything anyone had hoped it would be. There are so many options for player agency, and I highly recommend playing it with friends!

It's okay

The game is great and plays smooth. One of my favourite games of all time, and severely underrated! Lots of replayability to it, and the core gameplay is pure and enjoyable. Multiplayer is a blast, too, and the skill gap is always big enough for almost everyone to have fun on a server.
