This game is quite literally MALWARE without community patches, you will get your PC hacked just for launching it.

Soooo this is a PC port of a Switch game, expect rare stutters that kill runs every now and then but otherwise its a pretty decent game... well for a Switch game anyway, cant expect much from something developed for that e-waste

so uh, you know BR5HD? imagine this as the Ultra HD DLC with like 2 gameplay changes and OG Cyberpunk levels of performance, the vehicle selection for this demo is hilariously bad, the one track FILLED with sharp 90 degree corners forces you into a slow semi truck that barely steers. The drifting system is somehow even more useless than it used to be, instead of being a glorified stability buff, it now just loses you speed for almost no benefit, nitro is the only pickup youll ever need, weapons are useless in most modes since youre better off staying in first with nitro, the balancing is horrible (one race legit forces you to nitro 24/7 cause the enemy AI is THAT quick). Basically if your PC can run RPCS3 (which it can if it can run this game) then just play Full Auto 2: Battlelines, its this but a direct upgrade in literally every single way possible, not even exaggerating.

I would glaze this a little more if the devs didnt ban me from their discord for legitimately criticizing their previous projects for what they could do better in this game... shame really, 10 years ago i loved this franchise, in a way its the same as the old saying, never meet your heroes

Its nice to see it get "fixed" after its disastrous launch (the Battlefield formula at this point) but its kinda impressive how heavily this thing uses CPU, i5 9600KF maxed out while my GTX 1660 SUPER is sitting at 30%

one of the best racing games of all time BUT, crashes if you have a webcam connected... (or have OBS with virtual cam installed), classic EA L, easily fixable though

So the "owner" of this game franchise found out about this negative review and decided to ban me and some of my friends in the games discord server because of this review, we might not have been the most positive members in the server but from my perspective, we were all criticizing past entries to the series and giving feedback on footage of the sequel because of our love for the game and wanting to see it be something great, instead of taking our comments as valuable feedback for improvement, he decided to take it as an insult to his entire bloodline and simply get rid of us. Looking back i now realize that while the games were awesome when they came out and are still pretty good, the community is not good, its all a bunch of children being yes men and calling everything the developer does awesome, adults wanting civil discussion are not welcome, while yes we did do some trolling every now and then since the server is mostly dead so there wasnt much else to do and it was all lighthearted fun, my negative review somehow ended up being the worst thing ive ever done (make it make sense). Basically, if you want to get into this game, i would suggest the LegacyShockwave discord server or the speedrunning one (which you can find on this games speedrun.com page) for any discussion instead of the official one. Pre edit review (Oct 2023):To start, I am biased, I started playing this series on browser when I was like 4, anyway.

This game seems like a fun combat racing game at first but then you realize, oh the starter car is like the best car for 1/3 of the game, cars barely steer even though every track has 10 90-degree corners, being in first place guarantees getting shot in the back by 5000 rounds of 7.62N (I'm assuming, I mean come on its a minigun), some of the weapons are so stupid OP that they are just unfun to fight against (like really, deployable minigun turrets that you can just keep SLAMMING down and that will kill you 5 times in the same spot?), boss battles where you either dodge mines and die 5 times or win instantly because your car has OP weapons and can 1 shot everything. As a browser game (especially from its time) its really good, but as a Steam game remade in Unity, this kinda sucks man, it has a lot of potential but the developer already abandoned their last project they spent 3 years working on, the only update being like removing collision from a tree texture or something just for it to die and rot (i want my money back seriously), this game is also outdated with the Itch.io version being on a newer patch. If you have time to kill and this game is on sale then go for it but it's not worth 10 euros...

oh and basically every other review here is ranting about nostalgia, don't listen to them
