oh ya... ghibli the video game, im all for this. This is a game I buy with money.

This game is really good! Shame it's going to become unplayable in a month (as of writing).

I bet it could live, and just be overall better if the gacha just wasn't in the game, and it cost money to play, cause this games perfect in almost every other way, combat is fun, games not that grindy (atleast to the part i'm at), and the story is good too.

Truly sad for a game like this to go away.

Short Answer: Fun 2 hour adventure. You can definitely beat this quick enough to refund it if that's your thing.

Long Answer: I think its worth 5.39$ USD, I don't know about Twelve+ (Gifted the game).
-Some gripes: I 100%d it. Not just achievements, I grinded some item drops on enemies too for there things. AT THE END OF IT ALL. THERE ARE MORE UNIQUE ITEMS... THAN STORAGE SLOTS!!!!!!!! WHICH MEANS YOU HAVE TO THROW AWAY THINGS! WHICH IS STUPIIIDDDD!!!!!!!
-Another thing. If you are playing with people, you both using the personal storage can erase items, I hated that. Hated it enough to make another save/character to reobtain items. That bug will probably be patched later. [<<<<<This is "fixed" is 1.0.2 patch]
-The game is pretty easy, anyone can beat it. Even easier if your goofing off with friends/randoms. Kinda wish it was harder.
-Pretty short game. Grab the spear and potion at the start, and that's all you really need. Course there is other things that are good too, but Spear and eat those bosses healthbars quick, got range on it too. The lack of wearing armor also gives you easy stamina regen, and the low weight lets you sidestep most attacks, sometimes you just sprint a little to avoid some, but really easy.
-Sequel bait?????????? That ending kinda gave off the vibe. Hopefully we can ACTUALLY HAVE WINGS IN IT... Or maybe even be different bugs? That'd be cool.

Very cool. I like the murder game vibe it has. It's also, not by nintendo. Screw those guys!

WHY DID THEY RUIN THE GAME WITH THIS NEW LAUNCH! AAAAAAA-

I have to say, this game feels so much worse to play now.

Before in the open beta, the game felt fair, balanced, and fun. Now it feels corporate, and dull... still kind of fun. The currency change feels greedy, the battlepass (bp) locking away characters feels greedy, and making getting the characters in general for a new player for free feels greedy. Before you could get a new character in a day or so of grinding gold, now its going to take so much longer. I feel so sorry for anyone who didn't finish getting all the characters before the beta ended.

A thing that hasn't changed is the limited time events however. Except now theres even more of them. Very annoying. They have also gotten rid of the seasonal quests that last all through the season, making it so you could get a bunch of quests in the background so if you want to take a break from the game, you can still get a load of exp for the bp. WE LOVE FOMO IN VIDEO GAMES. MAKE IT SO YOU CAN NEVER GET SOMETHING IF YOU WEREN'T THERE AT THE START OF IT.

Leveling a character felt meaningful before, now it doesn't. All your perks are now changed, and no longer "locked" behind leveling a character, which isn't a bad thing, but all the perks different effects are. They feel bland, no longer influencing different builds. most of them don't seem worth using for their new stats.

They've changed how the gameplay works too from the open beta. You no longer jump nearly as high as you once did. They zoomed in the camera a egregious amount. Movement is very slow, even with the movement perk (but that doesn't matter too much cause maps are so small), and they have changed a lot of how moves worked, not nerfed damage, or buffed. full on reworks. THEY RUINED MY MARTIAN!!!! (He wasn't even top tier... the humanity of it all...)

I don't even think rifts gamemode is all that interesting... Kinda boring, the text is annoying, and the fact that every quest essentially force you to invite someone is dumb. You can't play this mode solo, and complete it.

I didn't start regretting buying the founders pass, until this new launch. I had hope it wouldn't be bad, but no, its bad. They have eaten all my "free bp unlocks" they gave 5 of them, now I have none, even though there was only two seasons in the open beta. I also can no longer hold on to my hero unlock tickets, they are now forcing you to use them, instead of using the character unlock currency (the green one). This game definitely doesn't respect a players time now, unlike before, specially for the new players.

I don't know. maybe. yes? no... something. I think the story was good, the combat was entertaining enough. I just don't like that I beat it fast on the hardest settings. For 27 dollars. in 13 hours. 100%... It's just kind of annoying as money is a importance to me.

I'll recommend it, but i'm gonna be annoyed about the money loss.
Someone else might take longer cause of the skill level, or the opposite for the same reasons cause of the assist features. (which are very good, in the sense they are helpful. I never used them till the end for achievements like shoot crab.)
I didn't expect the game to BE that hard, because of the vibe. but ya, I didn't have much trouble.

I don't know what else to add to this review cause I feel that delves into spoiler territory, but if you are looking for a harder game than fromsoft games, than this isn't it. If you want a fun chill game, this will probably work for you. It's quick to beat, its got a interesting enough story, and you can have fun with it.
maybe only when its on sale though... again, the money thing... i'm not financially well-ish, little pleasure money, yada yada. I like supporting indie devs though.
I kinda wish there was more replay-ability, like newgame+ like fromsoft games, where you could transfer all your stuff through again, and just have harder enemies and such. That doesn't exist though. yada yada.

I don't like however. The advertised depression mode, DOESN'T EXIST. EVEN THOUGH, THE DEVS SAID THEY WOULD ACTUALLY ADD IT, IN THEIR TWEET/VIDEO/SHORT/WHATEVER!!!!!!!! I FEEL SCAMMED! I WANTED KRIL TO BE DEPRESSED AND THE WORLD BE SATURATED, AND I NEVER FOUND THE OPTION TO TURN IT O-...
