I hesitated for a very long time trying to wait for sales steep enough to convince me to finally buy it. I knew it was a good game with decent content, but I just wasn't willing to pay full price for it. Eventually I bit the bullet and bought it simply because I had steam credit (even though two weeks later it ended up on sale and I couldn't refund it because I had 20 hours on it...just my luck) but even with all that, I don't regret it.

The sheer amount of content in this game makes it worth every penny. I took it slow, trying to make sure I didn't miss much, hitting most of the side content as possible, exploring the map, taking in the atmosphere and finding myself extremely immersed in the environment this game offers. From the missions, hunting, fishing, dialogue, to even the optimization and overall handling of the game this game plays very well.

That's not to say it's perfect, there are various things that irritated me about the game, some moments that would frustrate me as a mouse and keyboard player (perhaps that don't exist as a person on controller, I don't know), a few bugs that popped up that would make me reload, and some that weren't game-breaking or reload worthy more, just made me chuckle. In the end, the complaints I had were rather minor when it came to performance issues or bugs, and choices in the game. Everything else just drew me in and kept me so completely immersed and blew my mind. I cared about the characters, enjoyed the tasks I had to do, most of the options or choices I was given or allowed to make. When it comes to single player games I've played this story felt fleshed out, and the world immense. I loved just about every second of this game and this will be regarded in my eyes as one of the best games I've ever played for a very long time. Highly recommended.

OH NO YOU DON'T. Adding "2020" to your title doesn't count as a new game. 2020 has been bad enough we don't need to relive this!

After a solid one hour of game play, and picking up endless amounts of crap and enjoying the disassemble simulator, I was only able to make a suicide pill and end my misery.

10/10 IGN. Would suicide again.

This game is tied with Skyrim as being the best game(s) I have ever played. "Beautiful", is not even close to describing the look, sound, and feel of this game. The graphics and scenary are matched perfectly with the orchestra and soundtrack that barrage you from start to finish. You will feel as if you're in another world, and another time. This game makes you not just escape into the world, but the story truly drives the entire gameplay and turns you into the Witcher. Where every action and choice you make has a consequence and alters the story, you will without a doubt find this game breathtaking and providing you with countless hours of gameplay, and amazing replayability, where one different choice, can take you on an entirely separate journey.
