The first few levels capture the essence of this game: platforming, using gear to scale unexplored caverns, and experimenting with neat tools like a grappling hook to zip around. However, much of this gear is locked until at least halfway through the game (not to mention when they actually take away some of it). As a result, you don’t get many chances to explore how the different tools interact with each other. The fall damage feels way too punishing for a game that hands you one mobility tool after another and expects you to resist experimenting with them.

The ending, right after you finally acquire the grappling hook (in the last level), is littered with pits that deal fall damage, which quickly becomes more frustrating due to the sparse and poorly placed checkpoints. Some parts offer checkpoint after checkpoint within a few jumps, while other sections turn into intense high-risk zones with no checkpoint in sight.

I had fun at various points, but the poorly paced gear progression and lack of consideration for how players would want to use the tools ultimately left a sour taste in my mouth. Pick up this game if you’re looking for something to play while waiting for another download to finish.

Factorio but with emphasis on the true nature of logistical games with a lot of the fluff a lot of logos players may not want in every play-through. No building costs, simple to follow mechanics (if you know how to stack shapes you're halfway there ;> ), and the progression system is not elaborate off the start with complexity ramping as fast as you can build. Forgiving, yet puzzling and challenging.

It's fun to have a game where everyone follows you around, and the rest are being resurrected to follow you around! They stated DLC is planned, so keep tuned!

Not a ton of replayability, but a very fun first play-through and well worth the humble cost.
