I wanted to like 16, but ultimately I ended up spending more time playing the game than I really wanted to.

The world felt deep and complex, but at the same time quite shallow. You're bombarded with the politics of the game early and often yet they do little to explain who, what, where or why this matters. You eventually start to piece things together, but in the end it's completely a moot point.

Combat is passable at the end of the game, but is down right boring and a slog at the beginning. I was turned off by the combat until I had more options to play with (seemingly a decent way into the game).

Lastly, and I know many people disagree, but the Eikon fights weren't for me. Yes they are cool, and insanely cinematic, but they took away the skills I had earned and forced me into repetitive battle after repetitive battle (again dolling out the abilities too slow and too late).

All in all it wasn't a bad game, but by no means do I recommend it. In the end i just wasn't having fun, and that's why we play games. I'd probably give this a 5/10, and suggest you save your time and money for something better.

I've bought it twice, and recommend it to all. How much more do I need to say?

Across two platforms, I've probably amassed close to 100 hours in this poker roguelike. At the onset, the game was a bit challenging, it took me many runs to beat the initial stake. Once I started to unlock more jokers and get a feel for the game it started to click. It's now my mission to unlock all the decks before working on some off the wall strategies.

Balatro is an excellent game. One I'd recommend to family, friends, gamer or not. So yourself a favor and pick it up!

It's okay..

When it was announced, I was really excited to play Fae Farm with with my SO; unfortunately, there is no couch co-op. I think this is in part why I bounced off the game a few times.

Once it I finally stuck with it, it was an alright game. It fits the cozy/ farming sim with a fantasy spin on it. At the beginning it was solid, but as the game went on the progression felt hollow, repetitive and like it was more of a chore than something I enjoyed doing.

Overall it's a solid game, and one I did get some enjoyment out of, but in the long run it felt like my time would have been better spent elsewhere. For me it's right on the fence of recommend, vs don't; I'd give it a 5/10.

What can I say about Hades that hasn't already been said; the game is exceptional.

Having never played Roguelikes before I wasn't sure I was going to like it. When I got it, I played for a while, but bounced off around 20-40 hours having never beat the last boss.

Earlier this year I came back to it during an extremely difficult period in my life. I don't know what it was, but it clicked; I feel in love. It was at that time I finally beat the final boss! I was elated, and hadn't felt that level of accomplishment in gaming in some time. Even now, having completed the main quest, I still come back almost weekly to see if I can beat the next heat level.

If you're on the fence like I was, do yourself a favor and get it. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. It will forever hold a place in my heart for helping me through that difficult time, but despite that, it might be my favorite game of all time.

The ride was worth the conclusion. As many others have said, it's a good story that starts strong and inevitably fizzles a bit. As much as I controlled Henry, it felt like I was along for the ride.

If you can get it on sale, I think it's worth the quick burn to experience a pretty great game.
