Endless Legend - The non-Civ player review!

So - I've never played Civilisation V. I know, approximately 75% of you are screaming at me for being an idiot etc. I just never got around to it, okay!
So, Endless Legend is a game for me without the obvious Benchmark. The learning curve is (in my humble opinion) pretty perfect, easing you gently into the finer mechanics of the game through the short tutorial, and then freeing you up to experiment in a live game. The different factions offer fantastic replay value - I've now completed the game with *counts on fingers* four of the ten playable factions available without purchasing any additional content. The factions are diverse enough that you're forced into different play styles - which ultimately adds to the replay value in trying to master the niche aspects of different factions.; Each faction has a series of unique attributes and abilities as a means of delivering this, for example - The Cultists only allow one city, so you make it the biggest badass city that sprawls across an entire region, heavily defended with so many population you can (by end game) build an entire army in a single turn. The game also offers an extremely diverse set of victory conditions, which ultimately facilitates consideration as to which victory condition to go after with which faction.
Anyway - TL;DR: Good game, worth the purchase. Great replay value.
