Easily the worst arena styled shooter I can think of.
Movement is so stiff it feels like you are rubber banding the entire match.
Every weapon is a nerf gun that requires an entire magazine of headshots for 1 kill.
Every match you'll have 10 disconnects and/or you are joining a match in progress where 1 team is already far ahead.
Level and map design is terrible and doesn't fit the movement of the characters.

Check back next year this game will be dead.

By far the worst FPS I've ever played. There's no reason for games like this to come out in 2020.

Do not buy this game!

Low player count leading to 20+ minute match making, bad design choices such as falling from 3 feet can wipe out over half of your hp, people teaming up in solo matches, an awful menu system that leads to long merchant times....

This game should of been free to play, I'll be shocked if its not dead within a few months.

Having beaten this game twice now I enjoyed a very small portion of it and here is why.

Cons: I could go on forever with these but here are the main
-Repetitive environments, enemies, combat.

-For Honor style combat. This is a big turn off for me, instead of relying on methodical timing and strategy like other souls-like games this relies on spamming block/deflect 90% of the time which is very boring.

-Bad execution on delivering the story line thanks to a lack of NPC's (dialogue) and a VERY barren world.

-Boring engagements, meaning enemies aren't strategically placed to give players a challenge through certain sections. Seriously, a majority of this game just feels empty and enemies aren't strategically placed to knock you off a cliff or back attack you. The environment isn't utilized at any point in this game to challenge the player.

-Bad hit detection, you will clearly hit the enemy but nothing will register or you avoid a hit but still get poked. This is the last thing I expect a FROM Software game to utterly fail on.

Pros:
-Fountainhead Palace
-SOME bosses are cool (Gyoubu, Divine Dragon, Demon, Monk) providing a fairly unique experience.

That's about it. This game felt rushed and lacked content similar to Dark Souls 2. They rehashed enemies and went copy and paste mode for a large portion of the game. This doesn't feel like a full game, it feels like a teaser, its fairly short and can easily be beaten by anyone within 2 days. Therefor, I strongly advise people not to pay full price for this game until they release some legit DLC.

This is the 2nd worst souls like game I've played, only beating DS2.

One of the best atmospheres in a game I've come across. Beautiful visuals and a lot of detail.

Will update this review as I progress.

Is anything going to be done about the scripters that fire 30 rounds per second (and no recoil) with an assault rifle? Every single player does this now and its not even an option when you report a player. Which tells me you're either unaware or don't care.

You'll laugh.
You'll hate yourself.
After you deduce who the infected is, how do you convince your teammates?
Time is running out, time is a perpetual figment of our imaginations, therefor we are going insane working against something that doesn't exist.

This game is Trouble in Terrorist Town spliced with Dead by Daylight in a nutshell. As the game implies, you must overcome trust issues.
As the innocent, you move quickly and get geared up for the inevitable while keeping an eye on suspicious players.
As the infected, deception is your best friend. If you confuse a group of innocents long enough, you'll buy yourself enough time to keep them divided before you go in for the kill.

Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. It's a game that thrives on community. It's well balanced, its addicting, and every game presents a new challenge and dynamic based on the players around you. The developers have been implementing gameplay tweaks and updates since its release. The only big thing that is left is optimization and this game will be perfect. $15 is a great value for a game like this.

This game stands the test of time, then again time doesn't exist. Therefore, we stand for nothing. I forgot where I was going with this, smash the state!
