One of my favorite VR games, the weapons behave well (could be a tad bit better), it's got realistic-feeling combat, good enemies for an early game with a lot of behaviours, stances, dodges and moves. Hoping this can somehow in the future get multiplayer and more weapons like ie. a pilum, more polearms and progression.

It has barely any content, with the campaign just being skirmish battles put together to form a really lame "dynamic" set of battles. There's not that many maps and only two modes, not even something like Frontlines. Only two factions that each offer the same or less than factions in Call to Arms offers, and a lot of these are re-used assets with stylistic differences ie. the 2D weapon images in inventories and such, are just re-used from Call to Arms and Men of War: Vietnam, which wouldn't be an issue if it didn't look like the AK47 and SVD were completely different weapons because of the style differences to the AKM and such.

The game just has no content. It's like Call to Arms in very early access, but at least Call to Arms was in development and had more factions planned out and added, this game is according to the developers planned to stay at only two factions and released as a complete game.

There's such a ridiculously high amount of content and so many ways to enjoy and play this game, and it keeps getting updated with more and more stuff. It's more than just a gun simulator, it's a fully fledged really fun physics sandbox with tons of variety in it's minigames and things to explore.

Honestly, while a cool concept of a game, it's just really not worth it and especially not anything anyone should put money into. The game reminds me a lot of Sudden Strike, Men of War and Blitzkrieg, but there's a lack of features for the price and odd pathfinding. The concept is cool and all, but I find it very simplified and it could really have done with a multiplayer mode. The game has like a 30% chance of actually starting without a crash, and ingame it can crash occasionally as well. The graphics are inconsistent with each other and the voice acting though good, doesn't match up with the theme at all and just feels really jarring to hear Arab voicelines and then suddenly a very strong heavy British accent. The game mechanics aren't properly explained either.

That's for the gameplay, now there's the political and ethical concerns which you're free to skip reading if you don't care at all;
The narrative and portrayal of events is also straight up just innapropriate, as other reviewers have elaborated further on. It's not even trying to be subtle, or objective or even go for a neutral perspective but actually just direct pro-government and Russian propaganda. For depicting an event so recent and still ongoing, one would have hoped or expected there would at least be a neutral depiction of it. I don't think the very stereotypical depiction of Syrians is very good either.

ayy lmao

real talk the terrain is great and my favorite one, but the actual faction content is small. They should have added a Spetsnaz Ifrit MRAP and for Livonia L-159 Alcas aka. the Buzzards, along with NATO Woodland reskins for vehicles. The LDF is fun but could use more content.
