At launch this game was a mess, full of technical and performance issues, however years past release it's now something I think is enjoyable - but still pick it up when on sale.

For now this is just a technical review - but what I've experienced so far has been positive. My setup (R7 5700X3D, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070), at 1440p, on high settings, with DLSS on performance w/ frame gen active, gets me a consistent 90FPS in the overworld and 120-130FPS in buildings. I've noticed some minor pop-in and lighting bugs but nothing major or game ruining. The AI seems a little bit wonky at times but for a technical first impression, I'm having a good time.

Some of the best 4X content ever developed, with healthy modding support and good multi-platform support.

One of the most in depth political simulations I've ever played. I expected this to be more grand strategy or 4x than "visual novel" but I am glad it's taking such a narrative path. I'm about 6 hours into my first run of the game and while some of the naming took some time to wrap my head around, it's an excellent display of balancing pragmatism and idealism. The only issues I have with the game are small nitpicks - I'd like more customization options for appearance (and potentially a female option for added story flavor) but I know this was an indie project so choices had to be made. Overall: I highly recommend!

Well stylized deck building rogue-like which has far more depth than one expects on a first pass. Highly recommended!

Far better than F1 manager and actually runs well.

You'll hit a wall as a F2P and the recent changes made it worse. Avoid.

So far, the economic aspects of the game are incredibly inviting. The system of diplomatic escalations is also one I think is implemented rather well, despite wanting to have some control over micro of troops if war breaks out. Overall one of the best Paradox launches I've seen in a while.
