Worst aspect of this game is a 4 man party by far.

Other than that, it is an RPG masterpiece!

I like it better than the first game. I don't feel rushed to complete the objective. That gives me anxiety for some reason.

It's hard to describe why I love playing this game. It doesn't have any groundbreaking new game play mechanic. It's entirely repetitive in a sense. I think maybe it's similiar to why I loved playing Skyrim and Fallout:New Vegas. The sense of exploration. It's really in a class of its own. It also feels good to help people. It's not a game about violence or killing at it's core. It's a game about helping people.

One of my sons who is currently 10 wrote a review for this game.

"game good i love to play with my dad"

This nearly made me cry when I read it. It's also true. I love playing this game with my kids.

Update: Look, the story is mindblowing, the graphics aren't spectacular, but if you love turn based combat and you like D&D, this is it. Larian could learn a thing or two about how to implement D&D.


I've played the demo and now a little bit into the EA.

Do you play D&D 5E? Have you tried BG3 and thought, why are they doing it like this? Well, Solasta is doing it correctly.

It's not going to win in graphics or animations or maybe even the story line, but if you love rolling dice like you're playing with your friends, this game is it.

The UI, the ruleset adaption, it's all perfect!
