Totally not worth it. Any of the Tailor packs give you a lot more for just a dollar extra, and even then they're just pure comedic stuff that add nothing to the gameplay.

As for someone who pre-ordered the game that was told these were exclusive only to those who pre-ordered, I honestly don't care. Why would you be proud of pre-ordering a game that was unplayable at launch? These cosmetics are a symbol of a fool, to those who wasted ~$4 for one set of cosmetics, and to those who trusted and put their money down before the curtains opened.

tl;dr: Shotgun is hella fun and good, pistol is alright (kinda better when used as akimbo), and the SMG is good, but only if you use it more like a primary due to the amount it takes to put it away.

NOTE: This is more of a first impression rather than a full on weapon review.

The Pistol: It's alright. It's not amazing, but it's also not bad. It's trying to be a hybrid between the 90 damage and 120 damage pistols. Has the 480 fire rate of the 90 damage pistols, while stuff like ammo, pickup and damage is somewhere in between the 90 and 120 damage pistols. It's also suppressed no matter what, so you can stack it with silencer skills and barrel extensions. It can also fling bodies like shotguns, and with it's good concealment, it's actually pretty viable in stealth. It also doesn't have horrible stability unlike the other 90/120 hybrid pistol, the Crosskill Chunky Compact Pistol
Without skills, the pistol does have the upside of 3 shotting heavy swat on DW/DS VS 4 shotting with 90 damage pistols. However, a decked out Deagle with enough mods to up the damage can 1 shot lights and 2 shot heavies. You'll need One Handed Talent aced and Underdog for the damage to be on par with the Deagle. But if you do get those mods, it's pretty much a better Deagle with it's better stability and fire rate.
Overall, it depends on the build set up if this gun is worth using or not. With the right pistol skills, it can perform like a better 120 damage pistol, but spending more in pistol skills means you can just make the 120 damage pistols better. Basically, it's either a slightly better or slightly worse pistol than the other depending on your build. Good for stealth also.

Akimbo pistols: Trigger happy and One Handed Talent aced make these pistols basically a better version than the 120 damage akimbo pistols, with it's superior stability and slightly better ammo pick up. If you aren't going to use those skills however, then stick with the 120 damage akimbo pistols. Also killing cops fast with these is fun because of the rag dolls at close range.

SMG: Strange mod rules, and can't use sights. It's kinda like the Micro Uzi with it's low damage, but fast fire rate. About as concealable as the micro uzi (31 vs 32), and has much better accuracy than the micro uzi. It also has a faster fire rate, so you get to kill enemies faster, but don't get too trigger happy. Slightly better total ammo and pick up as well. The animations look nice, but don't really sync up some times. You can Fire the weapon before it's fully pulled out, and you can cancel the full reload animation once the mag is placed, even though you're still trying to use the leaver on the top. However, the biggest flaw of the weapons is that it takes TWO FULL SECONDS OF PUTTING THE WEAPON AWAY. For comparison, that's twice as long as it takes to put the Cavity 9mm away. This ultimately kills the weapon for using it as a combo or a secondary, as one you pull it out, you better be committed to it or else you're f'ed. In a build that uses the gun more like a primary, it's fun. But if you're not using it in a build like that and aren't using Rouge or Overkilled aced, don't bother and stick with the micro uzi or Mark 10 fast firing SMGs.

The Shotgun: The best part of the DLC. Good damage, alright ammo pick up, fast fire rate for a single fire shotgun, fast reload, and unique reloading mechanic. Rather than putting one shell in at a time, you put two in at a time. Good cross hair placement lets you kill bulldozers fast. It also feels really good to use it, given it's looks and animations. However speaking of animations, they're a bit weird in terms of their rules. "Tactical reloads" are fine and what you expect, but for some reason you reload faster when empty. Not really a flaw, more like something you'll need to get used to when using the gun. It's only two flaws is that you can't rely on it all the time without ammo skills or if you aren't getting ammo pickups, and the iron sights are bad, you'll want a sight or just hip fire.

Overall, The weapons can be effective and are really fun to use, but nothing outstanding. I recommend it if you love shotguns or like playing with a bunch of different builds. That SMG though, ugh. Overkill please lower the time it takes to put it away, because then you'll have a weapon that can work in multiple builds.

P.S. RIP Direct X 11 shaders :(

For a dollar, Toree 3D is a short but fun platformer to speed through. The controls are tight and responsive, every mistake I made felt like a fault of my own rather than the game. Level designs are simple and straightforward, but are colourful and go for a PS1/N64 look. It's fun to go back into levels to perfect them and get that A rank (or S rank if you really want.) The soundtrack is also pretty good, each song fitting the stage's theme well and are just catchy in general, I especially like the midnight vehicle track.

That being said however, Toree 3D does have a couple of problems. Despite having 360 degree control over Toree, I recommend playing with a keyboard and mouse. This is due to the camera, which doesn't rotate around automatically when Toree moves in another direction, meaning you have to manually use the right stick to recenter the camera. Another small annoyance is having to deal with moving crane platforms, as there's a lot of waiting around just to get to the next platform.

Another thing to mention is that this game was featured as a demo on the Haunted PS1 2021 Demo Disc. If you're buying this game for the horror elements, you're going to be disappointed. There's a couple of spooky elements, and one stage might make you jump a little, but they felt like an after thought.

Overall, for a dollar and taking me just about an hour to 100% complete the game, Toree 3D is worth the purchase in my opinion, and a great game for those wanting a fun little speedrun game that offers a good challenge that isn't very frustrating. I'm hoping for a sequel of some kind, with more levels, character interactions, and a level editor to give the game a lot more replayability.

I don't think Blockland is a bad game, and back when it was more popular it was a blast to play with strangers and friends, whether you were playing it as a vanilla sandbox, or modded it with custom gamemodes. However, due to time, lack of support, and the community itself, Blockland’s value and uniqueness has been significantly lowered. In 2012, they removed all interior maps, including the famous Bedroom map. While the devs did have their reasons, they removed something that not only many players had fun in, but was also a significant symbol for the Blockland community, like gm_contruct for gmod, or 2fort for TF2. In 2014, Return To Blockland (RTB,) the most popular addon loader for Blockland, was discontinued and it’s service shut down, making it harder to install mods for the game and some mods having compatibility issues. The last significant update to Blockland was around 2013, with nothing major being added to it after that.

We have seen newer or updated games being released that do some of the things Blockland did better. Garry’s mod, while doesn’t have the same sandbox structure as Blockland, has a larger community and better mod support than Blockland. Roblox, while it has it’s problems like copyright BS and being marketed towards kids mostly, has tools to build stuff at around the same complexity as Blockland and offers more advanced tools that can create custom games with more flexibility and flare than what Blockland can offer. Minecraft, while it’s sandbox is more limiting with it’s mostly 1 meter only blocks, has a much larger community with custom games around the same level of complexity as what blockland can offer, on top of having its own survival gamemode that is huge in terms of what it has to offer. In fact, back in the early 2010’s when the whole Roblox v.s Minecraft debate was going on, Blockland would sometimes be mentioned, being an underdog that could do somethings the other games couldn’t while also having a blocky and cartoonish aesthetic. But while Roblox and Minecraft have evolved, Blockland got stuck and is basically on life support.

Even if you think you can still play the game online with it’s low player base, the first thing you are going to probably run into is how out of touch the player base is. Most of them are people stuck in their edgy 2016 humor mindset and think building swastikas and having their server name say the n-word is still funny. It doesn't, it just makes the game feel more uninviting. Don’t even get me started on the forums.

Despite Blockland’s flaws, it still left an impact for many people on the internet. I would like to mention Brickadia, which is basically like a more modern version of Blockland. While still in Alpha, it has a very similar sandbox element like Blockland, and has a similar gamemode structure to Blockland. (it also has a less toxic community.) I say check it out if you are interested because it’s the closest thing to a frequently updated and supported Blockland experience you’ll get, especially later on when it gets more and more complete.

All good things must come to an end, but I had a blast while it lasted.

A main reason why this game failed is due to how they advertised what the game would be and what to expect V.S what the game actually was. I was expecting a first person hero shooter that was some-what fast paced and could allow you opportunities to dominate the enemy, similar to games like overwatch or TF2. However, that's not what this game is. It's a lot slower, time to kill is usually long, there isn't much mobility or maps with much verticality, and the game feels more like a FPS MOBA than what we picture a "Hero Shooter" to be. Now, there is nothing wrong with Battleborn being a MOBA, in fact I think it fits well with some shooting mechanics being similar to the Borderlands series. What's wrong is that I ordered fettuccine alfredo, but I got spaghetti and meatballs instead. Sure I like spaghetti, but I ordered the alfredo, and I love alfredo more.

Adds a nice bit of customization to weapons which I like, but I really don't think it should have been a dlc. We already have skins so adding this extra layer to weapon looks is just weird. And paying $3 for this ability seems too greedy. Also many of the color options cover almost a whole rainbow plus some gray colors, so how would color pack 2 work?

This DLC is just eh, only recommend it if you buy the bundle.

A step in the right direction for Overkill. Compared to the border crossing heist, this is something I had more fun with and it didn’t feel like one task took over 20 minutes to do, due to poor map design and unfair cop spawn numbers. Similar to border crossing, they do take ideas from older heists and kinda mix them to make a new heist. But unlike border crossing, they actually chose to take components from good heists instead of two elephant heists that both had annoying flaws.

Cop spawns feels more balanced than some of the more recent heists. Feels like they spawn more than bank heist, but less that Shacklethorn heist (thank god). The bank has multiple hallways that range from short to long, with small rooms to go into for cover. It nicely supports both close and long range play styles. The objectives aren't tedious, you basically move around the bank looking for a server room and an I.T guy. Take him into the server room so he can open the gate blocking the vault. Defend him and a power box for about a minute and a half and then investigate the vault. Signal a flare to send in a plane to drop the beast. While waiting, you and your crew can pick off snipers and tease sentry guns to make assembling the beast easier. Wait for the beast to drill, repair it once with a part outside that can easily be acquired fast, and then secure the loot.

While I did say this was a “step in the right direction” for heists, it’s not the ideal heist. The performance sucks, I usually drop below 60fps and that doesn't happen for me unless it's a golden grin or I alt-tab back in the game. Outside of the bank, there are snipers and turrets, usually parked in crucial areas during the heist. BOT pathfinding is bad, they will be downed by the turrets a lot (fun fact: bots downed from turrets don’t count as actual “downs”). And the deposit boxes are lacking. They only have small pick up loot, no gold or money, which makes opening all the 210 boxes rather pointless. Something I can’t criticise however is stealth, because I haven't done it.

Overall, the San Martin Bank Heist is a much better heist than our last paid heist, though it still had its flaws. I recommend it, but only if you're buying the San Martin bundle, as $7 for one heist with nothing else other than 2 paint colors and 1 hat locked behind achievements isn’t worth it. Bundle gives you the heist with new weapons and new cosmetics for you heisters and weapons, while only costing the an extra $3

Half-Life Source attempts to port over the original Half-Life to the Source engine and uses the advantages and upgrades from the engine in an attempt to bring a better experience. Unfortunately, what it attempts to achieve falls flat in execution.

I won’t lie though, there are some positives for owning and playing Half-Life Source
+ Better light reflections from weapons
+ Better water, in texture and transparency
+ Some areas have better lighting
+ Ragdolls
+ Prop physics
+ More console commands to play around with
+ And the ability to use it’s assets in Garry’s mod, including Maps, Weapons, NPCs, and Props

But there are many negatives
- This is only a Half-Life 1 port, so no official Opposing Force or Blue Shift campaign is available
- You can’t play any Half-Life 1 mods with HL Source unless they were ported over, which many aren't.
- Some areas have worse lighting than before
- Some reflections look bad and out of the artstyle
- Newer updates have broken lighting in a few areas
- Longer loading times (about 10 times longer than normal Half-Life believe it or not)
- Quick saving might freeze the game for 5 to 20 seconds
- It’s buggy (Final boss kept crashing the game and had to noclip to complete it)
- Death Match has it’s own EXE file
- And many of the advantages Valve could have used with Source aren't used and feels more like a copy and paste job.

Overall, HL:S is a mediocre remaster of the original Half-Life, adding a few neat extra lighting and ragdoll elements at the cost of stability, longer loading times, and not using the lighting elements well all the time. And the amount of mods available are very lacking compared to it’s younger brother.

Stick to the original Half-Life. I would only recommend getting HL:S if you're buying it from the “Valve Complete Pack” Bundle and use it’s assets for Gmod. If you want a modern remake of Half-Life, then Black Mesa is something you might wanna look into. Black Mesa actually uses tons of the advantages of using Source, as well as changing level geometry for a whole new experience. It also has Death Match and built-in Steam Workshop Support.

This game is incredibly unstable. It's main problem is it's speed, where the game play is as fast as your CPU, something 1980's dos games fixed and yet this 2009 port fails to fix that simple problem. There is too much work that you have to do to get the game to work properly, and you manually have to set the speed of the game with a plug in, something harder said then done. Please do not buy this game unless you 100% know how to fix the game or will attempt to troubleshoot the game's problems within 2 weeks in order to get a refund if you can't deal with it's BS.

Try at your own risk and money

Yes it's a little buggy
Yes it's a little laggy
Yes it doesn't teach newer players about all the main mechanics
But for $10, it's really worth it and is a lot of fun.
