I’m going to voice my unpopular opinion. It’s really not that bad, in fact, it’s quite fun. I don’t quite understand the negative reception. It’s Call of Duty back to its core boots on the ground gameplay and no more jetpacks and double jumping futuristic crap. Like I said, it’s CoD. The core gameplay mechanics of previous CoD games remain. It’s the same fast paced formula that has worked before. Seriously, if you go into this beta with your expectations in line, I think you might actually enjoy it.

Recieved for free a little while back, gave it a chance but this game is 100% not for me.

Pros
- Great art style
- Creepy atmosphere
- Solid physics
- Audio is great

Cons
- Boring for the most part
- Hardly engaging as the plot is ambiguos af
- Controls are crappy

Eh, seems a lot of people love this game and have titled it a 'masterpiece' but this game is just boring in my eyes.

Excellent Game. Honestly faced with some of the hardest decisions you'll have to make in any game ever.

DISCLAIMER: This game will destroy you emotionally. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, then it will make you cry some more. No seriously, who's chopping those onions?

This game will leave a lasting effect on you after you finish it. Everybody should play this game before they die. Also, the 400 Days DLC is well worth a buy.

Bring a box of tissues (to wipe away tears, not the other thing you dirty minded bugger).

11/10
Also, nominated for the 'I'm not crying, there's something in my eye award'.

Early Access Review
Performance issues aside, this is a really, really fun game.

EDIT: As of 27th April, this game is unplayable for a lot of people after its first major patch. I would hold off purchasing this game until the new hotfix is rolled out.

- The Culling is a unique take on the survival genre. It takes the elements of the Hunger Games films and implements them into the game perfectly. While playing the game, you really do feel like it's either my life or theirs.
- The perk system is decent. A range of perks availible to choose from, as well as different airdrops add for variety in each game to make sure that no two run throughs are the same.
- Although the game is in early access, it seems pretty stable. The developers seem to be listening to the community's ideas and issues and actively respond to questions. They have even created a roadmap showing the progress of the game, known bugs and issues etc.
- One issue I have found is that my frame rate will not go higher than 40fps. Although this isn't game breaking, it's slightly annoying as I know my PC is capable of higher frame rates. This seems to be more of an issue on AMD cards rather than Nvidia, so I would like to see some optimisation for the game in the near-future, as well as support for 144Hz/FPS.
- Should you buy it? Yes, if you can accept that the game is in its early days and that you may come across a few bugs and performance hiccups here and there. The gameplay is unique, tense and really, really fun.

Another year, another Call Of Duty game. I used to be a die hard fan of the Modern Warfare series back when I played Xbox 360, however I've been disappointed with the last 2 games, Ghosts and Advanced Warfare. I genuinely haven't enjoyed a CoD game since Modern Warfare 2 however Treyarch have hit the nail on the head with this one. Before I start my review I would like to explain that I have Black Ops III on both console and PC and have played the console version for a lot longer (hence my hours in the game). The PC port is pretty good. I understand that there were issues at launch but now the game is in a really good state. Treyarch have addressed many issues the community were having performance wise. As for gameplay, the multiplayer is brilliant. The gun balance is great, I don't feel as if one single gun is too overpowered. Specialists add variety to the game and are in no way shape or form overpowered. I have to PRAISE TREYARCH for the anti-cheat within this Black Ops title. Many of my friends have played this game for hours on end and have not encountered a single hacker. WELL DONE TREYARCH! Other companies could take note (*cough cough* Valve). One thing I and many others REALLY REALLY REALLY Treyarch should address is AIM ASSIST on PC when players are using controllers. This gives an extremely unfair advantage to players using controllers. I think the best way Treyarch could tackle this issue within the community is by making CONTROLLER ONLY servers for people who genuinely prefer playing the Call Of Duty series with controllers (even on PC). As I have been playing Call Of Duty for years with a controller, I ultimately prefer using a controller however on PC I feel as if the AIM ASSISTANCE is too OVERPOWERED when playing against players using a keyboard and mouse. It's basically like having aim hacks, only it's actually built into the game itself. I'm not saying aim assist should be removed completely, however I do feel that Treyarch would be doing the community a huge favour by splitting the community into controller users and keyboard and mouse users. This will create a much more equal playing field when playing on PC and be beneficial to the longevity of the game in the PC community. Another thing I find slightly... annoying is the flinch mechanic when playing on PC. When using a controller, aim assist helps compensate for the flinch by allowing the player to stay on target. On PC however, there is no aim assist (when using a Keyboard and Mouse). Maybe Treyarch should prehaps 'tone down' the flinch when using a mouse and keyboard as it simply doesn't translate over from the consoles correctly. Prehaps the one reason I enjoy the Black Ops series has to be the Zombies mode. I have mixed feelings on the Zombies mode in Black Ops III. I feel as if the mode has become less accessible than it was in the orignal Black Ops and World at War. Not to say that it is bad, but I really wished Treyarch would have added a simple zombies map much like Kino Der Toten or added Der Reise (The Giant) with the base game and not included it with the season pass. Shipping the game with one single map is a bit cheeky in my opinion. Negatives aside, Shadows of Evil is a brilliant map once you get the hang of it. I will be buying the season pass eventually exclusively for Zombies maps however I do feel as though I have been forced by the developers. Meh.

I would give the gave an 8/10. If Treyarch addresses the aim assist issue within the PC community I know for sure that this will be a solid Call Of Duty title on the PC. If you're thinking of buying this title I would say go for it and I would 100% buy it if it's on sale or you find a good price on a thrid party. It has been the most fun I have had in a CoD title for years. It has it's flaws on PC, but hopefully Treyarch will listen to the community and take the advice onboard - especially for the PC port.

Well, there's my review. I hope I have helped aid your decision on whether or not to buy the game. Thanks a lot for reading!

EVEN THOUGH THIS IS ON SALE - DO NOT BUY

GTA IV is the worst PC port I have ever played in my life. Confusing, as GTA V is the best PC port I have ever played. Long story short, this game is broken. It seems they're trying to milk every last penny out of this game. Upon launching the game, I couldn't play online and my resolution was locked to 800x600. Pretty crappy as I know my R9 280 is capable of running this game (Which launched in 2008) at 1080p, max textures. Even though it seems like a steal, the game is horribly optimized and you'd be better of spending your money elsewhere.

PROS
- It's GTA

CONS
- You can't play it, unless you want to sign into 5 different accounts and spend the best part of 10 hours trying to fix it and then have it crash on you.
