Played for 6 hours so far at the time of writing this and all I can say is that this game brings out the inner patriotism in you. For DEMOCRACY!!!

A wonderful remake of a wonderful game.

I played the original version of the game when I was a child, playing it on my GameCube. This game radiates charm and gives you plenty of references to the show. The remake especially takes advantage of meme culture and makes references to SpongeBob memes in vague appearances.

Pros:
-Great platforming
-Good level design
-Enjoyable, believable conversations between the show's host of characters. Found myself laughing a lot from the jokes landing (reminded me of old school SpongeBob).
-Overall a great experience.

Cons:
-Missed opportunity to have Clancy Brown voice Mr. Krabs, the current voice sounds like a horrible impression (with this said, I am also forgiving Mermaid Man's voice not being his TV show voice due to his original voice actor, Ernest Borgnine, passing away in 2012 (RIP) ).
-Some phrases the characters say are repeated a bit too often, which can make it annoying depending on how long your current play session is.

Overall, if you want to have a fun SpongeBob game to play, I recommend this one.
