The game was just recently announced to have been taken over by OWI, the devs of Squad, from which this game started from. The game is not dead and the hopes are high.

cool concept feels like an old 90s RTS. currently seems that 4 player mode does not work but 2 player online does.

Team kills are high while the administration does nothing about the intentional ones. Post Scriptum is a better WW2 milsim-like shooter with some better mechanics however at the time of writing does not seem to be getting support :(. If that game had this games budget it would be in a much better state. This game does look better, but overall PS has better mechanics IMO. Some of these include the ability to revive anyone once no matter the class which allows for your team, if they are coordinated, to continue a push without having to spawn back at main , a garry, or outpost. The deaths in those games also matter much more and affect your team differently than it does here. PS armor plays better too than HLL. These are just some of the things that make it better. This game is a bit more casual, which is also the reason it isnt as good as those games. Its as if Battlefield had an ugly child with PS/Squad. If your looking at this game, i would just try Squad, PS, or ARMA III.

The killers target me, and only me. This game is bias towards killing Steve's, Its become so bad I lose a piece of myself in real life everytime I get killed in this excuse of a game.

Great game and more than I expected for a beta. Following this game since its announcement has been a bit of a challenge with some setback such as the beta being continuously pushed back at first, but the wait was well worth it. The gunplay is great, with a good set of guns for a beta as well as attachments. The AI from my limited experience is quite good, but can be annoying such as the civilians running two blocks away from you. The wall bangs that the suspects pull on you need to be toned down, but I not mind their quick reaction time as the game is meant to be slower paced and this forces you to take your time. Planning every step of your move is crucial and makes the game quite different from others that I have played. Overall, even with it being in early access I do think it is worth the $40 for the base game.
