This game is Sonic Adventure 2. It is an incredible game with a captivating story, a variety of characters to play as, and of course the beloved Chao Garden. If you're a Sonic fan and never tried an Adventure game, definitely give it a shot! Both SA1 and SA2 have incredible features unique from the rest of the franchise.

There are a few minor (*and fixable*) issues with the PC version of the game. It may take some time to play around with the video settings (such as resolution and capping the frame rate), but there are tutorials online if you're stuck.

There are great mods for this game out there on a website called gamebanana. Mods that improve the graphics quality, add new features, and there's even a 2 player chao garden mod that is out there. There are also lots of instructions available for how to safely and successfully download those mods.

The most exciting part (and the reason I purchased SA2 on Steam in the first place) is the awesome potential of the Chao Garden! With the Chao World Extended mod, there are so many more features added to the Chao Garden to make it infinitely replayable. More colour options when breeding, more interactions between chao's, more items in the black market, and so on.

If you have SA2 on your GameCube or Dreamcast, I'd still recommend buying it on Steam, especially if you're a fan of Chao Garden.
