In its current EA state, this game has a lot of rough spots with end game functionality, glitches, balancing, and overall content which seems to not have been added yet. Even so I have found the game immensely fun and immersive even with all the caveats that come with its EA label. What astonishes me about the game is how solid of a foundation Taleworlds has built, so as to enable future additions and mods to enhance the game, likely meaning this will be a title you will be returning to over and over again as new content is released along with mods. While playing the game I kept thinking, "Oh wouldn't it be cool if this was added, or if you could do this," and sure enough either Taleworlds would have plans of such additions or a modder would be working on it. The places this game can go is truly astonishing, and that solid foundation Taleworlds has built, and is continously adding to via constant updates, will bring thousands of dollars of entertainment all wrapped up in one ambitous game.

My only current gripes:
1. Currently there are no public servers, I'm sure this will be changing soon
2. Siege AI is absolutely broken, leading to either my own men screwing me over by going up ladders and siege towers at a very slow rate, or the defending men to completely abandon the walls while allowing my own men to snipe them from the walls.
3. A current issue effecting me is that after playing for a good while, say 4 hours, the game will start to stutter, and I will lose a considerable amount of frames in battles. Restarting the game completely fixes this though.
4. Friendly armies making some of the worst a**-backward decisions completely screwing you over
5. Your faction will sometimes go to war with no notification, leaving you wandering around the map and then suddenly noticing your at war with X faction
6. A lot of missing details like variation of governance b/w factions and very little and bland lore differenciating each faction, but this is expected with the territory of EA

Other than that, the game is great and runs suprisingly smooth especially for an EA title. Even if you do dislike it's current state, I'd recommend keeping it in your library as the devs are constantly updating and patching the game, and the modding community is unlike any other.

One of the few Grand strategy games I've found with an in-depth, authentic focus on economics. Base game is kinda boring after 70 hours. Wait till it goes on sale, happens quite a lot, and scoop up the 2 DLCs for around $15, and you'll see why many consider this to be one of the best Paradox expierences.

This game manages to take the simplicity of the turn-based strategy game, and turn into a deeply engaging expierence. While 1 scenario is engaging enough, what makes Unity 2 stand-out is it's campaign mode. This mode on classic difficulty will leave you unable to stop playing as the roll-over mechanic, which has you and the enemy use the same units from previous battles, makes you feel like every move counts. Bonus objectives that you capture will improve your position in the next battle, or give you more prestige to use in the next conference, which can further be used on items to help you in scenarios, or in upgrade your HQs. This mechanic not only allows for replayability, as how well you do in one scenario effects how the next scenario will play out, but also has you focusing not just on your main objectives to progress to the next battle, but the best way to achieve those objectives while min/maxing the damage you recieve.

This game is very easy to learn, but ultimately very hard to master, as the classic difficulty, which I recommend you use, will leave you spending all your focus, coming for applicable strategies for your situation, while making you feel good once you've finally been to best a scenario.

I'm not mad, just disappointed CA. Please get your act together and stop selling us out to Chinese companies, milking us out of our cash with ♥♥♥♥♥ dlc, sanitizing the modding community, and overall just down-right disrespecting the community that built you up.

If you like to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you've found this is the right game for you. Every match is a nice mixture of laughter and intensity to make you want to keep coming back. Many issues regarding jankiness, repetitivity, bugs, and such, but the devs have shown a healthy interest in curbing these problems. Good game for a good time with friends.
