The best of it's genre. Play this game.

Don't be fooled by time played I have played much more than shows here but am incredibly disappointed by the developers seeming disinterest in making intuitive mouse + keyboard controls due to one thing and one thing only; The cursor being locked to the player. This wouldn't inherently be bad if you had an alternative but you don't and with a game where quick reactions are necessary due to a lack of invulnerability and you only being able to avoid things using the movement options a control scheme that feels good to the player is necessary but for me and a lot of others whose prefer to play on mouse + keyboard a weird limiting design choice such as this makes mouse + keyboard feel excruciating although it is such an easy addition to just allow the player the choice to unlock the cursor if they so choose. The game if you want to play on controller is above average nothing groundbreaking but a potentially fun movement mechanic that at the best of times feels effortless and endlessly enjoyable makes it a great game but over anything making the game feel good to the player is priority number one despite what you may think personally of a design choice if your community's growth is stifled because you refuse to change things then you only have yourself to blame.

One of if not the single most attentive, dedicated, and overall pleasant developers of any Steam game I ever have and likely will ever play. They listen to and make changes based on community feedback all the time. The game itself has tons of content and replayablility various different builds for every kind of player that all feel good and takes the gameplay elements seriously but also finds a good balance between those gameplay elements and weaving in funny and clever dialogue, references, and quips which essentially leave you with little more to be desired in a game. Easily one of if not my favorite games I've ever played. Final note I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate the developers for their investment in the community and taking feedback/advice/criticisms and using it to improve; other game devs take note.

A game I played a long time ago that was one of the earliest games to get me into gaming remastered in a great way including the best things from each release and improving upon things further. Also include an incredible soundtrack, great story, and a job system which gives so much to be experimented with and used in many different ways. For anyone who is a fan of old JRPGs I highly recommend this game and any that are a part of the pixel remasters they have all been great.
