Balatro was my game of the year of 2024. I played it for 100+ hours on switch and I liked it so much I decided to double dip and get it on Steam as well. Game's incredible.

Game has been going on for more than a decade and it's gameplay remains uniquely fresh. The way you can express yourself through different styles of gameplay throughout 9 classes and hundreads of item combinations for each of them is unparallel to any other game.
Some of its systems definitely show their age, and there is a lot to learn if you're brand new, but if you can push through it you'll definitely be in for a great time.

Everything that makes speedrunning fun condensed into bite-sized levels. If you enjoy sick movement in your fps, get this game.

You get to feel like an unstoppable force as you combo your opponent into oblivion, only to mess up once and have the same done to you instead.

Incredibly satisfying gameloop, nice welcoming community, great mod support, addicting as hell.
It made me "get" fighting games.

The most innovative shooter I've played in years!
