At first glance, this game resembles a lot Terraria. While the game mentioned earlier is more focused on the sandbox survival, allowing you to make incredible buildings, traps and complex systems, Starbound is more focused on the story and adventure. The similarities start from terrain generation, to resource gathering, fighting the entire nature that tries to kill you while getting your butt kicked, to building your own base, fighting bosses ( also getting beaten a crap lot of time by them) and scavangin for loot both underground and in dungeons. However, the game brings out unique features, making it feel less empty, sometimes even forgetting that you play a sandbox game. The well worked quests, the fact that you explore multiple planets and that you can customize your ship to make a mobile base, the combat, and the boss mechanics. I really enjoy this game. 9/10
