I'll be frankly honest. Ever since I stumbled upon the mobile version of the game (and the web port) so many years ago I never thought it'd have a steam port (to be fair... I never really used Steam either) let alone one that costed money.
While I am the Nyan Cat Fanatic, I didn't think this game was over the top. The main gameplay is repetitive in it's nature, with different power-ups and "modes" to spice things up. My favorite of these power ups is the Adrenyalin (the Turbonyan is a close second) as it has a wonky effect which makes your Nyan Cat wide eyed and makes things dizzy ooooh.
As for the gameplay itself, I had fun playing up until I was achievement hunting. To be fair, doing it all in one sitting (playing the game for nearly 3 hours straight, not including any hours on my brothers account) wasn't the greatest idea as I had to reset my statistics multiple times in order to actually achieve a majority of the achievements. The worst of which was the Cow Item achievement, as it didn't count the milk for whatever reason. The rest are fine, as Nyan Love was common throughout my playthrough (for whatever reason...?) and the Gold Nyan powerup made things way easier. Earning coins also isn't hard at all, as the missions make things easier.
As for the artstyle... While I do like the cartoonish look, I wish it took more of a mix between the pixelated art-style Nyan Cat (& nyan.cat) and the themes in Flappy Nyan (which are similar to this). I know I'm asking for too much here but I also wish there were more Nyan Cats you could get individually instead of having to get all of the packs. The Custom Nyan Cat Editor makes up for this, as you can edit pretty much every aspect of your cute little kitty cat!
Overall, I really liked this old but gold game. I enjoyed the time I spent playing it, and I think it's a neat little game.
