Shadows Of Doubt is a 7/10 detective game and a 10/10 Batman simulator

This game is unplayable in the more realistic modes. The distance between waypoints is so small and the co-driver's calls are so bad that it's impossible to know where to go next unless you have the big yellow "GO HERE" pillar enabled or just run the stage multiple times. This is kind of a big issue for a game simulating a race where the entire challenge is to figure out where to go next.

Instead of pulling out the good basic gameplay at the heart of Dakar 18 (which was otherwise a mess) they threw everything in the trash to make a Dakar-themed arcade racer. I hate it.

A lot of video games have you grind low-level encounters to make your character better, but this is the only one where if you intentionally let your characters get beaten into a coma enough times you can roundhouse kick peoples' legs off.

Many reviews describe this as "Tarkov but if it was just a PVP arena". It would be a very good game if that was true, but it isn't. While this game recycled many assets from Tarkov it stripped away everything that makes combat in Tarkov fun, interesting, or satisfying; what's left is basically just store brand Call of Duty. If that sounds good to you then go ahead and download it, but if you're hoping for Labs PVP where you get to respawn and you don't have to spend a million rubles, well you're going to be disappointed.

For fans of the original Receiver: at it's core it's the original game, but with a more polish, more guns, more enemies, a better gameplay loop and a fleshed-out story. You should buy it.

For everyone else: It's a first-person roguelike with elaborate gun mechanics and a very high skill ceiling. Despite having a lot of randomness in terms of starting weapons, map layout, item spawns etc., literally every time you die it's because you made a mistake. Forgot to check a corner and get collanderized by a sentry? Your fault. Missed a shot on a killdrone and got tased to death? Your fault. Blew your ♥♥♥♥ off while unholstering your Glock? Your fault. It's a brutal game that rewards patience and good decision making and I love it.

A relaxing, slow-paced, set in a beautiful environment that teaches you how to methodically stalk and murder things.

Every character in this game's dialogue is like "To survive here in Cyberdeath City you either must go cyber... or die. [Wry laughter] But that's how it is in this ♥♥♥♥♥ of a world." Also corporation is abbreviated as "corpo" for some reason. On the other hand you get to see as many beefy honkers as you like. So it's pretty good.

I've been playing flight sims for 15 years and this makes every other civilian sim look like a joke
