There are many reviews comparing this to Factorio, a game that is not AE....this became obvious to me at first when when I check the name. I have never played Factorio, therefore have no preconceptions. I also did not watch any YTs before playing this...with that out of the way;

There is a learning curve for eco and units. I feel that after getting my first completion with a medallion that I learned how to best utilize the units. This is a must to understand how the economy works in this game. It is also important to note that a game can become exceptionally difficult because of early game choices. For example, roadways, planning for roads in the start is imperative to avoid a compressed colony of factories.

Now, full disclosure, I did eventually watch YTs from the likes of Kibitz and KatherineOfSky to name a couple, just to compare my progress to theirs. I feel that some YTs took less time to understand the units before building, and the same probably goes for many of the players who wrote reviews.

I was annoyed in the first 15-20 hours. I did start and abandon about 8 play throughs as I learrned the units. I ignored the profit & loss to learn the mechanics. I would encourage new players and even current players to simply slow down and try things.

There is a significant absence of what I would feel are required factory units, such as;
Transfer tubes need to either include a 2-long version or be variable like the piping
Factory add-on or expansion capabilities, a landscape of boxes is boring, additions happen
Piping needs a 3rd elevation, seriously, look at real world factories, cabling and piping runs are along tracks at all elevations

Gamewise, there is a serious need to allow for keyboard mapping...please add, k thx.
Since each map is custom, where the f is the MAP /facepalm
Allow to toggle the tab to view inside each factory as an option

I think this game can go somewhere, the devs are clearly updating and fixing things as they are found. They made the smart move to not EA the game, but I think they shortcut play testing a little. The devs do need to be a little more open on their plans and updates, I do understand it is a 2-man team. You guys are doing what I have wanted to do, great job.
