The new update brought an overall performance improvement on Linux (after you tweak proton to play nicely with it), and the graphical fidelity has been improved in a subtle but appreciable way. The slight improvements made by the developers hardly make up for one of the most unintuitive ux designs since Microsoft's obsession with metro, and balance changes that are so over-tuned as to make any attempt at solo play a laughable jest.

It's still fun, but only in a "it's fine," attitude rather than a truly "it's great," statement of pure admiration and adoration that I once held for the game.

Also, the game's stability has definitely tanked with the latest set of patches despite their claims to the contrary.

The best game of 2023 by every possible metric.

Felt like playing old flash games on a school library computer, and yet far more graceful than any of those ever were.
