PROS:

This is the best melee combat game that I know of. Maybe you noticed this game has a 2nd installment and that one has more enemy variety but lost a lot of the flavor. Because here in the first installment it's much more about surviving the onslaught of the ratman apposed to the general easy mode of the 2nd one. The game will punish you for mistakes and make you watch your surroundings. Adding much to the apocalyptic experience.

Coming out on top in a hard situation feels really good in this game, it is all about your skill.
You might have seen a lot of reviews saying its buggy that's because it took this game very long to get rid of them but now in it's finished and polished state it's very good (few bugs still remained dough).

Very very moddable

It is possible to play the dlc maps without owning them by teaming up with somebody that does.


CONS:

The loot system is absolute garbage but do not worry mods can help here search for the mod "item dispenser" and it's spreadsheets.

Low player count nowadays

Modding is not limited in any way, so it is possible to get cheaters in your game. But mods can also cure this by installing the anti-cheat mod.
